My wheels were getting a orangish hue due to brake dust that would not go away with my regular cloth and car shampoo wash. Today I cleaned them up with this brush that gets into the openings nicely and the Sonox wheel cleaner was awesome at removing the residue
from brake dust.
I would replace the speed master for a Wheel Woolie. You'll get better reach to the end of the barrel without killing your hands. Also, no need for any fancy wheel cleaner, just car wash and water every week and your wheels will always look great. You can even clay them and apply some sealer like CG Jet Seal or Menzerna PowerLock for easier cleaning.
I rather die a 1000 times than wash my GTS wheels...biggest PIA ever. No matter what I do or try, they still look like 5hite. I'll try the Sonax. This will be like the 5th agent I've used on the wheels.
Put a ceramic coating on my clear brushed HRE's on the Turbo - game changer. Probably eliminates 90%+ of the dirt/dust accumulation, and cleaning is much easier. Results were so good I did it to the Spyder, too, which has black wheels like yours. Very pleased.
Cleaning the barrels of these wheels is next to impossible. Speed brush and woolies only go so far because the barrels are so deep and the narrow spoke gaps makes it hard to maneuver the brushes.

I can reach the end of the barrel with the large wheel woolie. I use the large holes and clean at an angle on both sides. Not the easiest wheel to clean but that's part of the fun.
