Default Fixing Clear coat

Needing some advise on how to fix this clear coat fading issue. Is there a cheaper way to fix other than repaint the whole thing? I would really appreciate your help.

So, you're a boxer guy, no briefs.

That's not fading, that's failing. Only way is a repaint of the clear on that panel. What car is that?

I am looking for cheap fix instead of going through the shop. It's a 87 Carrera.

There is no cheap fix. The clear coat has flaked off the base coat.

Got it. Thanks for the advise. I guess I will just have to bring it to the shop.

An '87 911 should be worth it.

Good luck. With a car like that, you want it done right.
