Default 991.2 GTS will be Turbo

Just as I've suspected. Sad news IMO.

Interesting, it is quite similar... I prefer the prior version with the 2 horizontal slats in front of the rads though. The newer version looks too open, almost like it is missing teeth or something. The front lip appears different too, I wonder if that center piece is replaceable?

Also interesting that this GTS (prototype) doesn't appear to have the third radiator... mind you not sure if that is still an option for the 991.2. On the plus side the targa bar in black looks awesome.

Just enough to make it look worse. IMO, the main problem with the new front bumper on the .2 is the way the top edge that comes center from the DRLs now protrudes way out in a lip, rather than being flush with the body. It looks similar to the slapped on plastic stuff on the Cayman GTS bumper. I also think the way they cleaned up the DRLs/rad vents takes away some of the sportiness of things. Looks more Lexus like and less Porsche.

Interesting info. Say, what does everything think about the 991.2 compared to the 991? Can of worms anyone? LOL

So based on the spy photos will PCCBs be standard on the GTS?

And looking on the positive side.....

I am looking to purchase a 991.2 Base Carrera so I will get an engine putting out 370 HP but greatly under-stressed because the same engine is used to support say 450 in the GTS?

so has the GTS abandoned the slats that open/close on the front radiators to improve aero at speed?

interesting to note that there is little in the way of distinguishing cosmetics on the car, of course this could simply be an early development mule ...

This car is going to be extremely fast, 450bhp & 400 ft/lbs, I'll wager a
coupe with SC & RWS will give the 991 GT3 a run for its money, which I
think might suggest that the 2nd gen GT3 will get the R/RS 4.0L engine!

UPDATE, is it me, or does that car have 996 GT3 "cobrahead" recaros in it???

Looks like it to me as well. I think it might make sense to offer PCCBs and GT3 seats as standard on the GTS since the engine is most likely going to be the same as the Base but with bigger turbos. Need to find some way to justify the extra cost.
