This is just a mule. The final version is not going to look like that.

Interesting but I'd disagree. When Porsche uncovers their test mules and runs without camo from recent history that is 100% the final product. See the 991.2 front end, aside from camo on the running lights the test mules were exactly the same as the production car.

Unless I've missed something the past few years they do not have any history of creating phony front bumper covers to throw off the media/masses... there is no camo at all on the front end so I'd bet my hat you're looking at the new Sport Design front end.

Yes, it does look like something similar to the low weight sport bucket seat in the GT cars. Since the GTS has backseats and if Porsche actually decided to offer it as an option, it will be probably something similar to 997 GT2's foldable sport bucket seat.

Those sport bucket seat just looks so cool, hope Porsche actually offer it for GTS. The bottom pic is a pic of GT2 foldable sport bucket seats in a 2013 991S.

I'd guess they will again offer the sport bucket seats for the GTS... in Europe/ROW only. We shall see.

I expect the final product will have active-aero front shutters.

They must have dug deep into the parts bin for those old seats...definitely not something we will see in the production car.

But most likely something similar? Or no? Not arguing, just looking for additional opinion/insight.

As a current 991.1 GTS owner I am torn. I know the 991.1 GTS will not be a collector car any more than the rest of the 991s but now going forward I will have to upgrade to a GT3 if I want to stay NA with Porsche in the years to come however I like the backseats... for the kiddos.

Doubtful for the US. The 'GT2/Sport Bucket Seat' pictured in LnC993's post is the only folding 'bucket' seat Porsche sells. It has been, and continues to be, available in other markets on all 981/991 models, including the new 718s and 991.2 Carreras. But it is not certified for sale in the US. Perhaps it will be someday, but IMO if Porsche was going to go through the trouble, they would have by now.

I just plan to keep the hell out of my GTS. And where there's a will there's a way- sure there are places that will fit rears to a GT3. You'd definitely be the coolest parent at pickup time...

Where is the rear spoiler or aerokit?

The CarBuzz page says "That GT3-like front bumper is more than likely a part of the aero sport package." but I'm hoping there's a lot more to it than a slightly tweaked front bumper.

Porsche has modified the air intake on the rear grill to accommodate for intercoolers. That leaves a big question as to whether or not the rear spoiler can integrate with the new design in air flow. If there is a will there is a way. I'd like to see it return.

Thank you. I never even thought about certification.

And get the nice GTS goodies as a pkg (C4 bod etc).
