Passenger Mirror Tilt Down Problem
Super minor issue: I noticed a couple of days ago that when I parallel park, the passenger mirror no longer tilts down so I can see how close I am to the curb.
I found the setting for it, and it was checked. So I unchecked it and rechecked it. Still didn't work. I moved the passenger mirror around to make sure the controls work -- they do. But the passenger mirror still doesn't adjust down when I put the car in reverse.
I'm happy to bring this into the dealer. The car still has warrantee until 11/18. But just wondering if it's something I need to re-initialize or whatever. Car in question is a 2012 991 Cab with 7 speed.
I searched the 991 forum but didn't find anything.

You depressed this button? If you did and it did not work, I am as baffled as you.

Sorry. Maybe readjust, save it and try again.

Based on a 981 BS, 991 C2s, and 991 C4s - once I checked the MFD box to turn on the reversing tilt down I don't have to do anything other than put the car in reverse.

Can't remember if this applies to the 991, but there are a number of Euro cars out there that require a certain selection to be made on the mirror witch panel in order for that to activate. If memory serves, you'll have to have the driver's side mirror engaged for the passenger to tilt.
Edit: The last car i remember this on had it all outlined in the owner's manual — might take a quick glance.

I have this exact problem with my 2014 C2. Box is checked in settings, right mirror is selected on the door panel and when I put the car in reverse, the mirror does not tilt. Sometimes it moves slightly, but it does not tilt all the way down as it should. Adjusting the mirror works fine in all directions, so the motor is okay. I'll be having it checked at the next service.

Unless you ordered one of the USA "package s" on your car this feature will not work. I'd love to have this feature too but my car was "custom tailored" to my exact specs and no packages were involved, so therefore no auto tilt. I do it manually.
