OK, so I recently acquired an AWE SwitchPath(tm) exhaust from those nice guys at TAG Motorsports in S.Ca (Thanks David!!!) and since I had the time and inclination I decided to do the install myself...
In true RL fashion, I have done my best to document that in the following posts ...
Many, Many thanks to Todd Sager of AWE Tuning, his support was stellar, and could not have been
much better had he been at my side in my garage during the install... Todd

Step 0: to remove the bumper or not, that is the question?
Although the excellent AWE install instructions (http://www.awe-tuning.com/media/pdf/...th_exhaust.pdf)
state that the bumper should be removed both TAG and some RLer's suggest it
can be done without this step.
I initially attempted to do this, but to be honest, being of moderate (at best) skill,
and minimal patience and tolerance, after attempting to disconnect the
OEM vacuum line connecting the engine to the PSE actuators from under the
car on my back and failing miserably to complete this successfully, I revisited
that decision, and having already removed the bumper previously to install
BMC air filters (hint hint: now is a good time to do this also) I took the decision
to remove the bumper to complete the install "with greater ease and comfort".
I ave no doubt that the install can be done without doing this, especially
if you have the car on a lift, but having gone this route, I do not regret it
as it made my task *significantly* easier... YMMV.

How loud is it? before OEM PSE
here are a couple of measurements from the cabin of my GTS cabriolet, at idle:
at idle: PSE closed
at idle: PSE open
as you can see 52 & 55 Dba with the top down and OEM PSE. later on there will be "after" measurements
