Default 991.2 USA Release from Port

Hey everyone. My 991.2 TTS has been sitting at the port since the end of February and my dealer is saying all 991.2's are stuck at port "as they are waiting on emissions approval." Does anyone else have any info or heard anything like this? Thanks! I want my TTS!!

As evidenced by this thread
https://rennlist.com/forums/991/8991...-on-in-36.html

and many others, cars are currently at dealers and some folks are starting to receive them.... Some of us even test drove them... so "waiting on emissions approval" could certainly not be the case as it would be hard to believe they would hold some cars but not others. Having said that, I know California has an additional certification... not being in CA, I don't really know the CA specifics...

Maybe it is a TT specific issue... in all fairness I have not seen a 2017 TT in the flesh yet... but still sounds strange...

California and five other states observe the more stringent CARB (California Air Resources Board) emissions standard. It's my understanding that the 991.2s are okay to sell in the 44 non-CARB states right now, but the six states in question are "on hold" until some bureaucratic stuff is straightened out, which should be soon. Unnecessary regulatory intervention at work.

Actually, looks like more than just 6 states:

"States adopting the California standards include Arizona (2012 model year), Connecticut, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New Mexico (2011 model year), New York, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont, and Washington, as well as the District of Columbia."

Vivekg in Massachusetts just received his car yesterday

Guys you can call PCNA - 1-800-Porsche and they can tell you if your state cleared CARB for the car. Select Option 2 from the voice prompts . PA is purportedly clear for everything except the .2 TT.
