Default 911 prices drop!!

Well of course we knew this is the main reason that Porsche had to introduce the 3l engines esp in the Asian markets to bring the price down to sell more cars.

Nice find.

YUP. Expand market share in countries with big upside potential at the expense of the enthusiasts. We've been whored out.

Let the cheerleading start. Launch date is upon us.

Is that because smaller engines get a lower tariff or import duty? Isn't that the case in China? So the actual price of the car has not really dropped... Correct?

In Asian countries and most European countries they get taxed on engine displacement sizes.

So yes, the car cost less to buy. That's unless you're in the United States.

It certainly looks a lot like Wall Street circa 2008...

People forget their history lessons pretty quick. Especially the banks. Wait to see what happens when interest rates start shooting up. Pop goes the balloon.

Found it in the local paper while vacationing in Koh Samui, Thailand

Still 350k USD though in spite of price drop here.
Why is it so expensive here anyway?
I wonder how many they sell in these markets.

When I was in Hong Kong I saw the right-hand version of the Rennsport Reunion edition car, new at dealer for the low, low price of $450k USD MSRP. Whoa momma. Taxes there are killer.

$350K USD in Tailand, $450K USD in Hong Kong. Seems buying in the U.S. is quite the bargain.

Yep, but once you've driven a Porsche you don't really want anything else.

What really is mirroring 2008 is the rise of car loan defaults. Always an informal leading indicator to recession.

My point being that they're going lower displacement to reduce prices elsewhere while prices continue to rise here. Engine sizes are taxed at different rates. Porsche just is playing the game to try and compete against every other car company that has gone turbo that they compete against in these countries. They don't have that problem is the US!

These absurd prices in these other corrupt countries is another story. It's their excessive taxing that these prices reflect. Has nothing to do with what Porsche sells the cars for. The HUGE gap $$$ in prices is purely TAXES going to those governments.

Don't worry, Donald Trump promised that not only will he make the Germans bring back NA motors, he'll also make them pay us to drive their cars. Porsches for everyone!
