Dropping my 2015 F80 M3 for a 2015 991 3.4

Ok guys - I think I have a fairly rock bottom price for a "new" 2015 991 3.4 with this build:
250 - Porsche Doppelkupplung (PDK)
2T - Jet Black Metallic
411 - 19" Carrera Wheels
603 - Porsche Dynamic Light System (PDLS)
653 - Electric Slide/Tilt Sunroof in Glass
840 - SportDesign steering wheel
911 - Model Designation "911"
AG - Standard Interior in Black
P06 - Power Sport Seats (14-way) with Memory Package
P3E - Premium Package Plus i.c.w. Power Sport Seats (14-way)
P3H - BOSE® Audio Package
I would be getting rid of my 2015 M3.
This was my third M3 and for some reason, I think I have outgrown the model. Or perhaps the latest generation just doesn't impress me like the previous two did.
In any event - I got 20% off the sticker (which came in right at $100k). The warranty was punched last March.
I have read pretty much every post on this fourm and on the M/Bimmer forums - not an easy decision.
I have driven the P car in question two times, and while it does not have the acceleration the M has, there is something about the car that is drawing me in.
In any event, I figured a fairly base 3.4 would be a proper way to enter the P car brand and let me know if a S / GTS is worth pursuing in the future.
Curious if you guys have any additional thoughts.

Are you really set on a NEW car?
You can get so much more for your 100K price and get a better CPO warranty on a lightly used 991.
What does warranty punched mean?
You only get the remaining 3 years/50K vs 4 years/50K?

I'm absolutely torn on this very decision right now!
M3 Comp Pack vs. CPO 991 3.4 C2/C4
I've driven a 991 S, but not the base and love the looks of the M3 and the 911, but I somehow feel I'll be missing out if I don't go Porsche. On the other hand, I'm not sure of the day to day usability of a 911 as compared to an M3. I have two kids ages 5 & 7 to drop off at school, but my wife has a Lexus GX so we have plenty of room when we need it.
Very torn.

I am getting the car for $80k out the door. The dealer punched the warranty card in Mar 2015 - presumably for allocation purposes (i.e showing is as sold last March) - so, yes, I only get 3 years/50k. My track record of holding cars is about that so - while I would like the extra year - it's probably not that big of a deal.

At 80k out the door, I'd take that and enjoy it. IMO, those wheels that come on the base 991 are one of the best looking wheels that come on a Porsche. If the build is to your liking, you can't go wrong at that price.

Agreed - I look at some of the center lock, black and more expensive Porsche wheels and start to sweat when thinking of the upkeep and time it would take to clean them. The base wheels look to be super easy to clean.

I think that would be a great upgrade. I too entered the Porsche world with a base 911 (2014 C2 cabriolet). I loved it. I stepped up to a 2016 911 GTS cabriolet about 18 months into my lease (Porsche financial waived the final 12 months so I could upgrade). I did so because I figured it was the last model year of the naturally aspirated engines in the GTS. The 911 C2 is a great car. It loves to rev, it feels lighter on its feet than the GTS, and I found it a great daily driver. I hope you take the plunge!

IMO it's a pretty good deal. Not sure if that car could be cpo'd, but I'd just throw it out there and see if they could do it since the warranty has already been punched. At the same price of course.

I was in the market for a GTS, about 20 minutes away from wiring money and saw a manual base that I asked to test drive. Went with the base. Fast, free revving, and the sound - better than the lower pitched 3.8 engine makes. I just wish it had the 19 inch wheels. No regrets. My car is a keeper.

My concern would be having PDK without Sport Chrono option. Maybe I overlooked it in your option list.
Not sure how good of a deal that is. The car is two model years old and only three years of warranty left. I am in the camp of preferring the NA engines to the new turbo engines, but that said, I think the base 3.4 Carrera might take a big hit once the new ones come out. That might not happen , who knows.

Chapter11 - do yourself a favor and get a 2013/2014 CPO Carrera S instead of the base model. I also defected from the BMW brand & bought a 2013 C2S for 82k in January 2016 and I am thrilled with my purchase.

I totally agree. Buying new takes a big depreciation hit, but it's worth it because you get to spec yourself (you aren't) and don't have other people driving it (this one may be low miles, but every moron in the world has already test driven it while it's sat at the dealership).
