Thanks to both Werks 1 and Fasttr for your recommendation and astute observation, respectively.

I think the biggest feat here is traveling with an infant. Quite a task! Hats off to the Mrs.!

Couldn't agree more STG! Gotta' say that an international flight followed by multi-national touring with an infant is not for the faint of heart.

Yesterday afternoon we visited a remarkable, private car collection just outside Milan. I reached out to a fellow Mopar owner via the Chrysler 300 Club and he was most gracious in entertaining us. (Due to the nature of the collection, I won't mention names or addresses.)

Not yet 5 months old, Baby Bash saw his first '71 Hemi 'Cuda in Tor Red. A factory 4-speed car with PW, PS and 12k original miles. In front of it was a '70 Cuda 383 convertible in B5 Blue and above was a factory mod top Barracuda. We also saw a '70 Charger 440, '61 Chrysler 300F convertible and more incredible American Iron than I can remember. In America, this would be a breathtaking collection. For Europe, my mind was boggled.

Two words to our dear host: Mille Grazie!

wow what a great car and a fantastic trip!!!

I'm impressed by the design of the new targa and how they were able to bring back the stainless style hoop! Here's a few pics of my '70 next to a new Targa. The new Targa has put on a few pounds like most of us over the years

Enjoy your new ride and new baby!!

That reintroduced hoop caught my attention the moment it debuted, dan911. Such an iconic shape. Your '70 is beautiful and is wonderful seeing how the '70 and a 991 share similar form.

Here's a shot of the family in front of the Duomo in Milan.

Yesterday we drove from there down to Monaco. Saw several fun Euro-only cars on the road including an RS6 Avant. First we secured parking in front of the hotel and then were pleasantly surprised by the view from our room.

You definitely will FiveRiversGTS!

We're still in Monaco and are enjoying it so much we extended our stay a third night. The Ferrari 458 and Rolls Royce Drophead Coupe are, literally, a dime a dozen. It's surreal. And yet.... we still haven't seen another GTS or Targa (let alone a GTS Targa)

Last evening we met friends from Nassau for a second night in a row. They own a vacation home in Cap Ferrat, a charming converted fisherman's house down by the beach. The husband is a serious car guy with a personal collection including an F40, prototype factory slant nose 930 Turbo, batmobile, prototype Mangusta, several F1 cars and more so we caught up on a fair amount of car talk much to our wives' consternation.

Seeing Cap Ferrat, especially at sunset, afforded a special opportunity to glimpse the quieter side of the French Riviera. Sleepy, low key and infinitely more intimate. It's a beautiful contrast to the electric energy of Monaco.

Today, Baby Bash goes swimming for the first time. We're going to lie though and tell him his first open water dip was actually not in the Mediterranean but in Galveston, Texas or, perhaps, the Hudson River.
