i know this will not be popular but i ended up getting a thickened extended (4") steel license plate frame from 4bumpers

i then spray painted it bright red and installed it with 4 self tapping 5 x 20 mm screws (which im rather proud of since im usually about as handy as a 3 legged cow)

and now im hoping it will discourage people from hitting me in the rear or at least catch their attention a split second earlier (i've owned this new to me 2016 991.1 base since january and have been rear ended twice in the last 7 months , both times i was at a complete stop at a red light so it's not like im aggressively cutting people off and then brake checking them. i've been driving for 22+ years and was never involved in an accident previously. god has a sense of humor to introduce this to me AFTER i procure my dream car ...)

Have the exhaust and eager to get your impression of the tune.

Already know that Scott at Softronics is great to work with.

So far fantastic. The car drives no different than stock in normal mode but when you press on it, it's incredible. I did eliminate start stop as well so it automatically turns off but it does keep the coasting mode in normal mode which is nice. Unfortunately ran into an issue installing the exhaust and will need to take it to a shop as I was attempting DIY. How do you like the exhaust?

Had exhaust on for 3 years now and really like it, hits the Goldilocks' sweet spot. What was your problem with install, perhaps I can help?

2018 7speed here, installed softronic last week. Highly recommend. It’s like my turbos didn’t wake up before, but now they are available much much earlier.

Full fluid change 40K and 20K service plus belt and tranny fluid. Cars running awesome now!

Been reading up on the 991 GT3 steering code change - funny to me as I turned off PSP years ago and I don't find the steering lacking! ? I do LOVE The clutch pressure and smaller cabin compared to my 992. The car I believe is one of the best 911 examples across the years! Been distracted w the 992, but I think it's missing a little low end torque but otherwise it's a keeper!

its an option in PIWIS - had my dealer do it in 2016 but now people are doing their own coding with a PIWIS or even a $100 amazon device...
