Thanks, I have the car with a full body PPF.
I like the PORSCHE detail, though i know it's a personal preference.

It pops right out. I prepped and painted matching the ignition **** in a red hue . Used tamiya all around (base, paint, lacquer) 2x;3x;2x
Looks good and didn't chip in almost 2 years.

BTW, the **** cannot be purchased separate from the steering wheel. I tried in the forums to find out who makes the wheel, no joy. My guess they would sell the ****. In that case, I would paint different colors or maybe 3D print in metal.

"it pops right out" Hey John can you clarify that? I attempted to insert a credit card between the knurled rotating dial and the unit but feared I was in the wrong place. Is that correct? Paint is on its way.
Thanks

A cc may be a bit too thick, I used a plastic prying tool, actually from an iPhone battery replacement set. Any of those dedicated dashboard plastic tools should suffice without damaging the piece. After the first attempt I felt brave and just pulled it out.
Prep really well, have patience between layers.

Numerous tutorials out there on how to paint dashboard pieces or plastic models. All based on the same combo of base, paint, lacquer. I went all water based as they dry quicker and you don't endup layering lacquer on top of wet paint.

Gloss black triangle trims to match side mirrors. Original trim felt little cheap.

With all joking aside, driving both 991.1 and 991.2 back to back, the 991.2 is way, but way quicker. NA vs TT will be debated forever on sound and pure.
but after trying the both, it was such an easy decision to make.
