Damn!!
Many covers have lots some overlap in the corners to make sure they stay in place. However, you can make them easier to take on and off, if you judiciously shave some of the material from the corners.

I've done this successfully on a cover with the plate attached when I wanted to use a different cover for non-car protection.

You could go T-Design. Admittedly slightly less elegant but shouldn't have the magnetic charging issue...and the mount is fantastic. Greatly prefer it to the magnetic mount I own.

Cheers,
NF

I really like the T-Design, have it for a few days now and it works great – plus there is no danger of messing with my automatic watch.

I picked up some clean used narrow-body SportTechno wheels via Craigslist, along with some brand new Michelin PS4S tires. The new combo looks and rides great! However, the tire shop clumsily chipped the clear coat on one of the wheels, so I have to get it repaired. I may have the wheels painted either gloss black or gloss white (body color) with the machined faces.

Do these things actually help prevent curbing your wheel?

Not sure but hope that I will never have to find out. Definitely if you drive deep into the curb, these will not prevent your rims from getting scratched. However, I think if you were to accidently graze the curb very lightly, then yes, these will help. Also, I'm not sure if these will stay on at speeds. Haven't driven the car yet since I've installed them. They were mounted with double sided 3M tape.

Nice!! Before you pick a color ask/look around. I have gloss on SQ5 and satin P101 on 911.......I won't do gloss again. Brake dust dulls finish first time you use brakes. I think your window trim is satin isnt it?
Will look cool once you paint them.

I would have simple pulled in instead of backing in to net the same result...
