Picked up a beautiful set of OEM 19s, added RE71Rs, new rotors & pads - plus an unscheduled oil change. Prepping for an upcoming run at Laguna Seca.

That's a hugely improved metamorphosis. Great job.

Agreed! Modern 911s should not have wood interiors.

Not sure I like that particular shift ****, but definitely a huge improvement with the carbon fiber. The wood just doesn't go well with this kind of car. Great job!!

Default iPhone 8 or iPhone X with Rennline phone holder

https://rennlist.com/forums/991/9181...l#post14308854

I installed my Rennline phone holder a few months ago.
Now that iPhone 8 is out and iPhone X is coming out soon, they have wireless charging. Will that still work with the metal plate on the back of the iPhone?
Anybody here have an iPhone 8 already who has the Rennline holder and has tried it?

I know that Apple changed the design of the iPhone to go with a glass back and no metal, so that they could implement wireless charging. That might be an issue for all of us who have the Rennline holder, or other holders with a magnet that require you to stick a metal plate onto the back of the phone.

The metal plate interferes with wireless charging. Attach the plate to your phone cover, not the phone itself. Remove the cover for charging. That will eliminate the problem.

Thanks for the response.
But that sucks!! I have the metal plate between my phone and the cover and having to take the cover off all the time is a pain in the neck.
Damn!!

Best thing is that it was FREE! Years ago I was at a Jaguar Club meeting when one (very wealthy) member asked if anyone wanted his newly purchased lift because he changed his mind and ordered a couple two post lifts to service his collection. I raised my hand first!

That's a nice midrange lift for the novice to moderate mechanic...

Thanks to the wealthy guy for a great gift!

What a nice big garage. You have to post pics in the garage thread...

Craigslist Sacramento. I was the first caller within hours of posting. The seller got, I think, nine other calls by the time I arrived.
