Default 303 Aerospace for cab tops?

I use and love Aerospace 303 protectant for many uses on my car. My thoughts are that it would be great for my Cab top, to keep it conditioned. Any thoughts or do any of you Cab owners use it. It does not rain much here in So Cal so just looking for a nice conditioner. I know RagTop is more of a protectant from the rain but I do not think that will be my issue. Trying to keep the color and material in great shape for many years to come! Thanks for your advice!

Ragg Topp and 303's product are both very good. I use Ragg Topp every other year.

Porsche's product is also very good. Most likely rebranded RT.

I'm doing my top in 2 weeks. Getting ready for spring driving in March.

Hi LexVan, isn't Ragg Topp more of a protectant against the elements as opposed to 303, which seems to condition it as well.I think 303 is easier to use because you do not have to worry about getting it on your paint. It is almost like you should tape off your windows with Ragg Topp. Or do you just spray it on a micro-fiber and wipe it on?

I've never used the 303 cabriolet product. Ragg Topp easily comes off the glass with alcohol and buff dry. Easy enough to control to keep off the paint. I cover the car with a few towels and a couple clean thin top sheets. Ragg Topp is sprayed directly on the top. 3-4 light coats. I brush into the fabric with a clean dry China bristle paint brush. 30 minutes dry time between coats. Clam shell open for easier access.

The parent company of Ragg Topp is Wolfstein. They are the OEM supplier to Porsche.

I have a 2010 997-2 cab with black top. Last summer I noticed the top starting to get some lighter colored lines where the top support braces are located. I had been a RaggTop user exclusively and was quite happy with the protection part. I was not happy about the discoloration - not a RaggTop issue, just age and fabric stress. So I bought some fabric dye that was supposed to restore the fabric top to original condition. I wasn't too keen with having to re-dye the top but it was a possibility. Before I committed to the dye job, I purchased some 303 and applied it. To my surprise, it restored the color and the protection seems to be very good too.

Both are excellent products, but 303 added the restoration of the slight discoloration. I'm no longer considering doing the dye job .

What protocol would you gents suggest to keep a new top in shape? Use RaggTop and 303 together? Separately?

Ragg Topp when new. Then again every other year. Sticky tape roller weekly. Never wash with soap.

Don't fold top when wet.

Park in shade.

Stay away from tree sap.

Clean up bird bombs ASAP with water.

Great advice LexVan. Thank you.

So no 303? And safe to assume parking with the top exposed is better than exposing the alcantara interior to the sun?

I thought 303 was more for rubber and plastic protection. I use it as a substitute for ArmorAll, and much prefer it. Like LexVan I use RaggTopp on my Mini fabric Convertible top, and it does the trick. Easy to apply and maintain
