Well so far from Episode 1 I'm not impressed.

Chris Evans is terrible. I got pretty sick of his whiney voice by the end.

Matt LeBlanc was great, I was bummed we didn't see Chris Harris yet. I don't think Sabine is really fluent enough in English yet to quite get into the banter we got on the old show.

I was pretty disappointed by the
rally car bits for the reasonably priced car... it wasn't as idiotic as the lap on American Top Gear, but having a bit of seriousness to the old one really helped keep it interesting.

I really hope the challenges aren't just with two cars/presenters from now on.

I thought Evans was 'forced' and frankly Le Blanc was so 'method' he did not come across as relaxed or natural ... Sabine was best of the bunch

I think I might have a little crush on Sabine.

Awful, but I think it's because they tried too hard to be like the old crew. I think if they gave up trying to be funny and just did a high production value, high performance car show, it might be tolerable.

Chris Harris was on the show after that top gear. Extra gear i think it was called. That show may have actually been better.

The new top gear will never be as good as the original but I'll still watch, but I watch any show car related. I watch some horrible show called car matchmaker just because its about cars.

Wasn't as bad as I thought except for the Chris guy being so over the top and Sabine is just unwatchable. Sorry guys don't see the attraction.

Not a fan of Evans. I also think they should have tinkered with it a little more. It will never be the same as the old show with new hosts, it just isn't possible - they should have taken the opportunity to try something fresh and not try to be imitations of Clarkson, etc...

The BBC and Ginger have missed the entire premise of Top Gear, they really

thought it was a car show?

Old top gear was first and foremost a COMEDY show loosely based around

cars, it had never been done before and probably wont again.

It was 3 blokes mucking around having a laugh with cars.

Some examples:

Buying cheap italian sports cars that blew up and had lost most of their power.

Filling their cars full of water and trying to do a lap of the track.

All 3 turning up in bmw 325 cabrios and then seeing how easy they were
to be stolen, and then having them forensically examined, and finding all kinds of...........in them.

This was comedy gold IMO.oh and putting an Audi and an XJS on railway tracks.

Another thing Clarkson and to a lesser extent May, are / were top notch
journalists, and highly creative, hamster is mostly the butt of the jokes.

It's like F1 the "boffins" can't work out why it's gone down hill, well i'll tell you.

The sound of an old F1 car was what made it unique,i saw them at Spa,Monza, and Silverstone 10 years ago,and i'll never forget.

Now they sound like wet Farts, and are no more impressive than a few road cars.

Also the FIA have allowed the manufacturers to take over F1 and use it as a test bed for their future road cars....................Boring.

Not a fan of Evans either. Keep Matt, move Harris up to Top Gear (from extra gear) and try that imo.

I too don't get Chris Evans. Perhaps he'll grow on me. But the first impression I got was that he was trying a little too hard to be entertaining and outgoing.

I thought Matt was good during the scripted sections, not as good during the live studio sections. I'm not surprised, given that Matt is an actor.

sacrilege! - she's the best driver of all of them bar none ... MLB was less natural than she was ... you could cut her a little slack since english is not her 1st language YMMV

Best driver for sure and cute in that middle-aged-man-leg-humping kinda way, but her banter is stilted and I don't think she's good in these kind of formats. Felt the same way about her on Fifth Gear. Great driver and insights, but not a great TV 'performer'. Part of it is the language barrier I'm sure.

Chris Evans is simply unwatchable. I can't believe anybody pays that guy to do anything entertainment related.

Yeah he did seem stiff during the live audience portion. I'm sure he'll get better at that though.

I think if they bump Matt to lead and put Harris and one of the others, Sabine or the Stig or hell even a random audience member in they'll do alright... just anybody on earth but Chris Evans.

I do think it could be funny if Stig did the live audience part with them.
