Matt LeBlanc has been racing Formula cars for years, and at one point he owned the fastest lap on Top Gear (maybe still does?).

I imagine he'll be good. Smart guy. Good sense of humor.

Matt was at every COTA F1 race since its inception, so was I. I havent seen him racing or anything, but he drives a black convertable Carrera in Episodes. I am surprised to see him being picked for the host, but it could be good.

By the way, if you didnt watch episodes, I recommend the show. He plays himself and the show has great adult, at times R-rated, black humor.

Yup, Matt LeBlanc is a serious gear head and Porsche nut. A buddy of mine worked at Pro Italia motorcycle shop in LA and Matt would swing by once in a while. He's a serious motorcycle rider too and he got a lot of press way back in 2003 for getting the first Aprilia Nera in the US.

Anyway, my buddy was telling me a story that Matt told him. I can't remember which model Matt had exactly, but I think it was a 911 Turbo he took to the dealer to have routine service. While he was waiting, the dealer had just gotten in a GT2 and they asked Matt if he wanted to take it for a spin while waiting on the service. So he took it out, came back and told the dealer he was trading in the Turbo as he was buying the GT2. I'm pretty sure I have the models correct. Anyway, the guy is legit.

My kids and I loved watching the old Top Gear episodes. Will be hard to replicate with new crew but you never know.

I think so. The most recent Evo article comparing GT3 to RS and GT3 Cup to RSR, stated Harris was headed to Top Gear.
