I guess we'll have to find out...

Sounds ok to me .... maybe someone with the same exhaust can do a cold start video so we can compare. My PSE on a cold start sounds like a bucket of rocks until the valves close.

I'm surprised that the exhaust looks that bad after a few heat cycles. Anyone making Porsche exhaust should be coating them with some hi temp coatings so they look good.

BTW in the video it looks like a drip of moisture is coming down where the two pipes meet in the middle....... is there an exhaust leak somewhere?

In looking at the picture below you could have a loose clamp where that moisture is coming from giving you some unwanted sounds.

Agreed. For the price they are charging the AWE looks a bit cheap/unfinished, IMO of course. Not that it matters all that much given you don't see it but at a similar price point there are other options that are fully polished stainless steel that frankly just look a lot nicer... or in my view more worth the money.

I used some high temp silver spray paint on my SS Scirocco 16v header and after 4000 miles it hasn't changed color at all and still looks good.

That is good to know... but for a $2500 exhaust component one shouldn't need to hit it with a rattle can. Some of the other options come finished in nicely polished stainless which doesn't seem to be too much to ask for.

Yeah, they AWE weld quality and overall finish definitely does not warrant $2500. I can't believe someone hasn't copied the design and started selling it for $1500.

That's what I was thinking. Here is my AWE setup for comparison, cold start and I recorded until the revs dropped. Sounds similiar to PSE cold start.

My Fabspeed Valvetronic sounds similar but the finish and welds are far superior than the AWE...cheaper too!

Best thing that I have found to help it is cold laser therapy. German Dr named Lux Wilden. Check it out. And protecting the ear when it's sensitive to loud noise. Yes shut off the PSE button lol
