Default Couple quick questions about the 991 C4S.

Picking mine up tomorrow night, Just wondering a few things.
1. I have the Bose audio. Can I stream music via Bluetooth to the radio? Or Just phone.

2. Is there a USB plug for an iPhone charger?

3. My car is equipped with the glass roof option, Is there a pull out sun shade? I live in FL and normal like my interior DARK.

4. Last but not least what kind of Mpg can I expect from a manual in 7th on a highway drive and what is the range? I have a 13 Hour ride home.

#2- yes. In the glove box.

#4- +30 mpg in 7th and 70 mph.

Range. 16.9 gallons. Easy 400-450 miles. You'll need a bathroom before you'll need gas.

I have the glass sunroof, you should have three buttons for the roof in the center console. The button to the rear opens (push) and closes (pull) the glass top. The middle button cracks the back of the roof, click open then click closed. The front button operates the sunshade, push the button to close, and pull to open (opposite of the rear button).

one thing i haven't figured out, if you use the glove box usb to lighting plug as a charger, i believe you default to that connection rather than blue tooth. this was an issue for me because the PCM was prompting me to download an app from porsche that wasn't on the appstore, so I use a cig lighter charger in the glovebox while streaming blue tooth.
all ears if I should figure out the lighting route or if anyone knows what issue i was hitting with the Porsche app..

Not aware of any need to download an app... Mine works fine from glovebox USB via lightening. By pressing 'source' you can still override and choose Bluetooth to stream whilst hardwired but I would rather not as the sound quality is much better and music selection options more comprehensive in hardwire 'iPod' mode.

I also learned that on our 2014 when my iPhone is plugged into the USB port:

+ I can search for points of interest using Google through my phone. No app downloaded - it just happened. I'm still waiting on my owner's manual so I can't speak to documentation

- when using the USB/lightning connection (ProClip mount) I lose control of the the phone for streaming music apps like Pandora and I can't see what's playing on PCM; no pause, skip, etc. if I switch to Bluetooth all the control is there. Of course since Pandora only streams at 128 or so through mobile devices I'm not giving up anything thru a wireless connection. Again, can't check the manual yet.

I *really* like the option to use the Google search and then use that as the source for the destination address.

Gordon
PS - I just remembered I downloaded aha to my phone. I'm going to delete the app and see if the PCM still behaves the same way.

MPG - If you stay in normal mode (no sport or sport plus elected), auto start/stop-on, and liberal use of 7th gear, you can go a long way causing at 75 mph!

I connect my iPhone and play music via the hard wire and not bluetooth for sound quality. I rarely stream music.

The fabric electrically activated glass roof screen is great and works well.

I drove mine home 15 hours and was amazed that I never got to even half a tank before I needed to stretch, pee and caffeinate! Car is very economical on the highway

C2s PDK cab - Fresno to Seattle; 946 miles, 14.6 hours with stops, 68.7 avg mph, 28.6 mpg. Last 4 hours in nasty rain on I-5; California stint I probably averaged 75mph. Amazing cars that can sip fuel one minute and burn up a track the next.

Not when you consider the depreciation you get with each mile.....but economical reasoning is not why we bought these race cars, is it!?

Congratulations on your ride. Enjoy enjoy enjoy. They are nothing but bliss.

I posted this in another thread, but this was leg 2 of my almost 1500 mile trip home with mine. I saw better numbers on the first leg, across mostly flat I10, 75-80 MPH for most of the trip.
