IMHO, the fact that PDDC is not available on the base 991.1 is a good thing. I could never quite get the feel for a PDDC equipped car. I like the 991 with a bit of body lean because you can feel when the limits are approaching a whole lot better. So a non-PDDC car works better for my driving.

Also, in most driving situations, I don't think anybody will miss RWS. The S I tested last week had RWS and if someone hadn't told me that it actually had that option, I would not have noticed it and that's after spending 2 hrs driving it in normal road conditions.

On a track yes. I did a slalom course in a GT3 recently and really, really felt the difference in that situation.

I've never heard anyone saying, "Oh man. I wish I'd gotten just the base Carrera (or Carrera 4)." I do hear folks saying, "My next 911 will be an 'S'."
