Whatever you do don't get black!

I went from black to beige and the lighter interior is amazing... it's much much cooler in the summer and so much less gloomy on rainy days... it's better every second.

If I were ordering new I'd probably get the agate/pebble two tone, although it'd be a tough call.

I think I'd only get the red if I were getting a silver car. I think it kind of pops with the neutralness of the silver. It might be weird with the black exterior.

Edit: Oops I think my iPhone wasn't showing me the whole thread.

This to me is the key bit: "The irony is that in actual, real-world driving, the turbo isn’t any more economical than the old naturally aspirated engine. Both will do 30mpg on a good run, and around 25-26mpg overall."

It's not even about efficiency. It's just the number in the window.

Man, I get 21.4 so far in my C2S. It sure beats the 14.1 I got in my C63, though.

and the 13.1 I got in my 993 and 15 in my 997.2. The 991.1 is actually quite amazing on fuel economy.

The 991.2 turbo gets better mileage by allowing you to putter around at 2K rpm and still feel like your sitting in a sports car You won't shift it very much cause you won't need to

Hahaha maybe that's why they killed the fun sound that entices you to rev it up.

First 911, first Porsche, first turbo. 991.2 S coupe. I have a favorite windy road carved into a cliff nearby that is a great place to get to know this car. With the windows and sunroof cracked, in sport exhaust, the sounds from car are impressive...and loud enough I feel almost a bit self-conscious when I pass a one of the view pullouts. With PSE engaged, it's a surprisingly deep exhaust note at idle, much more so than friends 3.6l 997.

I would prefer the option for louder interior exhaust sounds, but I would not be willing to sacrifice the increase grunt for it...and that is why I went with 991.2. There were a few 991.1's available new when I bought mine.
