Now 3 months later I sure miss it. Have located a 991 C2S coupe, great build, right mileage, meticulously maintained by a Porsche nut. We are very close on price, the void is so small I am pretty much ready to pull the trigger.

My only concern is the color, yellow over black. Don't see that many, and while it is only the color, not sure what a yellow 911 says. For an Italian car it's one thing but a 911, not sure.

Thoughts on yellow, good and bad please.

Thanks in advance

What's wrong with Yellow 911 having a black interior? I love mine!

If the price is right I would do it. Getting in to a yellow car must feel exciting, but it will also get it's fair share of commentary from the folks staring at the driver.

I think that yellow looks amazing on the 911. I had a yellow 997 C2S Cab for a while and I miss that car. I now have a black/black 997 coupe and I miss the yellow.

I was loaned a yellow 981 Cayman while my car was in the shop. Wasn't keen at first but it grew on me big time.

If you have the stones to pull off yellow, good for you. Wish I did, I just prefer understated colors. I do think the car looks awesome in yellow.

Just buy the color you want and forget the resale... I tried to sell my 06 Speed Yellow cab back in 2009, the dealer told me the resale $ different between a speed yellow and a silver/black was $3K.

Love mine ! Best color Porsche offers IMO. Black on the cab give it lots of contrast too. Add yellow stitching and perfect car.

They offered me $3K less for the yellow - $47,000 (black/ white/ silver) vs $44,000 (Red/ Yellow) . I had the car for 3 years, so it would cost me extra $3 a day for driving the exact car I wanted if I'd sold it to them. I ended up selling it for over $50K through private.

PCA Technical Editor Allan Caldwell had a Speed Yellow and black 914, and a Speed Yellow and black 911SC. When I saw his Speed Yellow and black 996, I asked him, "Speed Yellow?" He replied, "Is there any other color?"

I have no idea if yellow is right for you. I just enjoy telling that story.

What better to pair with an orange Lambo than a speed yellow 911.

Don't do it!! That ray of sunshine might disfigure you by leaving a permanent smile.

The only color better than yellow is Lava Orange. You most definitely should get the yellow 911.
