991 C2S Yellow, worth while!

991 C2S Yellow, worth while!
Guys, I have been a lurker for a time. Ordered a 13 C2S cab when they first came out. Didn't drive it much, left it at my winter home. Felt bad as it only had 4,300 miles on it so I sold it.
Now 3 months later I sure miss it. Have located a 991 C2S coupe, great build, right mileage, meticulously maintained by a Porsche nut. We are very close on price, the void is so small I am pretty much ready to pull the trigger.
My only concern is the color, yellow over black. Don't see that many, and while it is only the color, not sure what a yellow 911 says. For an Italian car it's one thing but a 911, not sure.
Thoughts on yellow, good and bad please.
Thanks in advance

Yellow is a great color on the 911 in my opinion. I love black cars, but the 911's lines don't deserve to be hidden. So as long as you're fine with the attention it will bring, go for it.
Another plus is that yellow is being featured in a lot of the Porsche marketing these days, which will keep the yellow feeling modern and in fashion.
Really, just go with it if it makes you smile. This isn't an odd color that will hurt resale value.

Depends. Black wheels? Sports suspension? Aerokit? Yellow tends to work better on more aggressive styling, IMO.
Yellow can be polarizing - not everyone like it. It takes a certain type of person not to care about the attention and the occasional negativity.
Personally, I think yellow is pretty cool. I couldn't personally live with it, but a properly sorted Porsche in yellow is classic.

Just bought a '14 CS coupe in Agate Gray. While I love the color, I find myself wanting a little more "spice" sometimes. Seeing the GT-3RS in Carmine red, or a GT-3 in Speed Yellow really looks good. So yeah, I would buy the yellow 991.

I would be wary of the yellow 911 if you plan on keeping the car for a long period of time. Although sometimes people may yearn for a unique and loud color I would bet that there are more people wishing they hadn't gotten the loud color to begin with. For this reason I choose rhodium Silver. It's a timeless color that I can keep clean and won't stand out too much.

I saw this one the other day in Newark DE and my jaw hit the ground. I'm not a fan of black wheels but this one is stunning. Go for it.
This was my baby for 7 years and loved every moment of it. Aways got thumbs up.

Yellow is a fantastic color for a sports car. But as we have recently been told, the 991 isn't a sports car, but rather a 'luxury sports sedan'. With that in mind, the only appropriate colors would be black, gray or silver. Choose wisely.

My colleague just purchased a used 991 C2S and I think it looks good given how his was put together. His platinum satin finish Carrera S wheels, PCCB, and sunroof provide great contrast and sets the car off nicely.

I had a 2013 CS that was Racing Yellow with SPASM, PDDC, and MT. Where my black on black 997 Turbo got a few comments, the yellow car constantly got compliments. The occasional camera shot was noted as well. I loved it and planned to keep it forever. I decided to sale it in September. I consigned it at my local dealer. I put it on the lot Friday with the price I wanted noted by the sales manager. It sold in 24 hours on Saturday for $2,000.00 above what I wanted for the car. Why did I sale? I have a Club Coupe in Club Blau coming. 😃 Life is short, live a little. It's a Sports car and not a minivan. If you like color, go for it. It made the car feel more "exotic" to me and people reacted that way.

Nothing subtle about a yellow Porsche 991. You and your car will be conspicuous and the subject of comment. If you are comfortable with that, fine. Personally, I think yellow works best with inexpensive cars, and I wouldn't own a yellow 991.

Thx guys. I could have mentioned I do own a Oronccio Borealus (orange metallic) Lamborghini Huracan. I am aware of what people think of bright colours on a Lamborghini. The 911 will stay at my winter home in Scottsdale.
But a C2S is very different, just having a tough time finding a 991 with PDK and the right option boxes checked, less than 15k on the clock for the right money.

Shades of yellow vary quite a bit. IMHO Porsche Racing Yellow is the perfect yellow. It is dynamically bright. I would have to agree with those here, for our tastes it would have been a no-go had the glass roof not been available.
Softens the package it up just enough to balance sport and class.
In an otherwise production vehicle it guarantees you wont pass your self on the road.

I've owned one yellow Porsche in the past. It was Signal Yellow. More orange than yellow. I loved the uniqueness. I would do yellow again but it would have to be a lease and not a purchase. I'm afraid yellow would take a hit on resale. As an aside, my brother and I had GT3s. Mine was white and his was yellow. Every time I saw his yellow GT3 I regretted that I played it safe with a white car.
