991 Loaner Cars from dealers?
In the past I have owned several mercedes and BMW models and have generally noticed the following with after sales support:
1)BMW - always a pain to get a loaner unless you go to the dealer you bought it from. If I need service, I usually have to wait 2-3 weeks to bring it in.
2) Mercedes - You can take it anywhere in the USA and they treat you exactly the same. Loaners are readily available and typically speaking, I could call in for service today and bring the car in a day or two later.
These are mainly experiences in the NY metro area.
How is it with the newest 991's? Do the dealers care where you bought it from? Do they usually give you porsche loaners? Are they a pain when it comes to nitty gritty things? BMW replaces my wipers whenever I ask for them, no questions asked. Mercedes will gladly touch up rock chips for me when I ask...etc. I would love to hear your perspectives.

I've never known Porsche to give out Porsche loaner cars, only rental cars. My Audi dealer always gives me an Audi.

I always get another Porsche. I have had a few 991s including GTS, Targa etc as well as Caymen S and a Panamera
Here they are swapping my loaner convertible to a GTS. All the car swapping gets the neighbours talking.

991s is my third Porsche from Porsche of Bucks County and we've always had either a Boxster, Cayman, Panamera, Cayenne or Macan as a loaner car.
Never had a 997 or 991 loaner, but always some other Porsche. Just had a Cayenne with a couple hundred miles on the odometer several weeks ago.

Porsche of North Olmsted gave me a Cayenne with 26 miles on it when I took my TT in to have the winter wheeled replaced with Finnspeeds/summer tires. They bagged all 4 OEM wheels/Alpins and packed them neatly in the Cayenne for me. I drove the winters home and by the time I returned 3 hours later, all was set.
When I had my '13 Boxster S, Porsche Beachwood loaned me an E-350 while I had the first oil change.

Got an old Buick that was a smokers car when I dropped off my 2013 991 for service. Was so bad I called them when I got back to my office and demanded they swap it out. Ended up with a newer Kia Soul....
