991 Loaner Cars from dealers?
#19
I've only had to get a loaner two times. Once was a Jetta diesel, the other was a Panamera hybrid. Interesting, I had never driven either and would never consider buying either after having them for a day.

Porsche of Annapolis gave me a Panamera when my then new car went in for an after purchase addition. I think my sales rep made sure I got the Panamera because I told him I didn't care for the model and didn't think it would be much of a driver's car. I think he wanted to prove me wrong, and he did.
I don't know if I will get a loaner going forward, but the Annapolis dealership has gone out of its way to put me in any car I show an interest in, pulling one off the showroom floor for a test drive and tossing me the keys to a low-mileage tts that had recently been traded in. It helps that I have purchased two cars from them in the last year so they know they have a live one in me, but still they make it easy to drive their cars and sometimes they make it difficult to say no when they offer a deal.

Just curious Mi650, if the dealer is in Birmingham? I am taking my 991 next week for an oil change and some warranty trim work and was wondering what to expect. I did not buy the car from them, as I bought used. The only other time I brought it there was for an oil change last spring and did not need a loaner.

you are a marked man! - but a friend to all the used Porsche sales guys.
heaven help you if you ever need warranty work done! Bzzzzzzz declined,
either that or they will take your car apart, and it will never be the same again!

I've gotten loaners both times at Porsche of Tysons in NoVA..once a Cayenne, the other time an MB C-Class. And I didn't buy my 911 from them. Seems SOP for that dealership. Even indy repair shop Intersport gave me (an old) MB as a loaner when they mounted my tires.
