Anyone know why?

The brake light modification is not a problem, and I would think that grill size is not an issue either as all 991 coupes have the same size spoiler or ducktail.
So the only issue really could be some type of air flow issue affecting either the engine induction or cooling. But as the cooling system is all in the front of the car the only theoretical problem could be with engine induction. Am I correct in my very basic thinking?

We are talking about airflow when fans are not operating, they are thermostatic and only for compartment cooling, and not for feeding engine intake...

I think you mean cars with optional " Sport PASM " package, to counter balance the larger , lower front chin spoiler
The deployable rear spoiler angle also gets steeper the more the optional sunroof is retracted , on any 991, regardless of suspension , to maintain proper aero balance , which I think is really cool .
I never knew that happened until my wife was following me one day on the freeway as I popped open the sunroof ...we switched cars after that and the simultaneous movements are like watching the synchronized action of the leading and trailing edge wing flaps of an airliner at take off or landing

I believe the option is called just PASM on the GTS and includes 10mm lower ride height, more agressive front chin, larger swaybars, and steeper angle on the deployable rear retractable spoiler above 70 mph.

I dont know about the spoiler deployment angle, except that it does deploy further when a sunroof equipped car has it open(ed)

I'm not sure natural air flow can be achieved through the fan with any accuracy. If that was the intent than I would think that we would have vertical slots like the 991.2

On a GTS with PASM the rear spoiler deploies at a steeper angle. If I recall correct from literature it's 240 deg

excellent ... you will have to post details...
Oh BTW one idea, I would attempt installation of this *prior* to having the
part painted, that way if it all goes '**** up' for whatever reason, you have
an unpainted part to resell/return ...
(a very early) merry christmas!

Nope, PASM-S was an option for GTS coupes.

Not sure about the relative angles of the deployed rear wing with the exception
that sunroof cars deploy it further when the roof is open ... I suspect that the
GTS probably deploys it further than an 'S' but I am not certain of that

I think the GTS deploys the spoiler at a steeper angle because it has the front splitter from the Aero package, without either the duck tail, or the "cup" wing... every GTS has the front lower, so without either of the rears, they needed more wing for balance.

Yup PASM is std on GTS, PASM Sport Suspension is an additional option only offered on the Coupe which lowers the car an additional 10mm over PASM
