Thoughts on Red vs White
I'm curious to people's opinions on what color to get, Guards Red or White? I currently have a black 911 but can't decide between the two. I'm leaning towards Guards Red. When I've had white in the past I seem to get bored with it.

I went from a Black/Black '09 997S to my '13 Red/Beige 991S and could not be happier. I like black but it is a PITA to keep clean (exterior or interior).
The red does draws a lot more attention than the black -- which is not an issue for me but just so you know.
I love the red!

Red is never boring! I've had 2 Guards Red 911s and loved them both! It is the quintessential sports car color IMHO! My only complaint is that the taillights don't contrast very well unless you do "clear"! And interior colors matter too. Black and sand beige are great, gray not so much w Red. Gray, blue, or any int color looks fine w White. Good luck.

We should have a sticky where we collapse all of these color threads into one. This stuff has been rehashed so many times, it would be much more efficient for people looking for color advice to just have one place on the forum to go to see everyone's opinions on color.
OP, get which ever one you like best, not what we tell you we like best.

Junior Techs practice on the Guards Red cars. When they become Senior Techs, they are allowed to build the White ones.

INMH, white is super played out. it's the #1 color across all cars in the US, and the most common in the 911. then again, I went GT silver, so I'm not too adventurous myself.. the blue colors are all awesome... take a look if you haven't and not very common.

To many white cars on the road plus my last 3 cars were white. Time for a change so I have the Guard Red. I read an article about the popularity of white now because of Apple. Porsche Guard Red is a classic also.

Carmine is red. Guards is red/orange. If you can get them side by side in daylight, it's pretty obvious. Yes, Guards has been offered for about forever, but if I were going for red, it would be Carmine all day long.
Of course, I have an Anthracite TT and an inbound (not soon enough) DBM BGTS, so I'm probably not the best person to ask about reds and whites.
Per fastdiablo above, DBM is, I believe, one of those extremely under-ordered colors that will have a bunch of folks trying to get it PTS the day after PAG drops it as a $710 option.

I do like white, but find that I get tired of it after a while. Love Guards Red and have a 993 coupe in that color with black/tan interior. But, Carmine Red is, so far, my favorite red of all. Not many out there. I bet it will be PTS before too long. Very classy and sophisticated, in the best ways. I went with SBM for my GTS because of the color of the 993. Color is totally personal, particularly for the people who order their cars from the factory. But, having said all that, I believe Carmine Red may turn out to be a color you will love and appreciate on your 991 for a very long time. My vote is to go for it.
