Ever regretted selling a car? Seems very common

I've regretted holding onto cars. Each time I think a car is too nice to sell, or too nice to get rid of for the crappy trade value they're offering, and I get a storage unit yada yada yada, I end up really not liking hassling with the extra car.

Made redundant from my role overseas and thought that as my fiance and I were saving for our first home the money was better in a new house instead (This was back in 2009). Sold the car and landed a new role 4 months later...but I'm still lucky to have a 13 C2S and the equity in our home.

I really, really wish I regretted selling past cars - It is just not in my DNA - I envy you guys, honestly!!!. I love Porsche, this forum, but it I just don't identify it as part of who I am. OTOH, the first bicycle I raced, a 1994 Specialized Allez (total noodle) I do miss - totally for the memories of it flexing like rubber when I tried to sprint. Since 1994 I've kept every single bike I've raced and they are hanging (unlike the trophies I did not win) in my basement with great memories. Damn, I wish I could love Porsche like bicycles - there is so, so much there to soak in. But for me, past rides (bicycles) are like old girlfriends - they all all had great positives and were superb but it was me looking for that intangible - much like my wife and the Parlee Z-Zero project bike that I put more miles on than my GTS.

Two cars got away from me...one was a 1986 Honda Prelude Si. It was my rockin' red tomato. A ton of fun with 110hp and a 5 speed. Traded for a '91 Prelude Si, not as fun.
I'm still grieving over my '09 BMW 535i, RWD, sport package. Probably the best driving car I've ever owned. Thought the E550 cabriolet would be an upgrade...NOT. I like top down driving and power of the E550 biturbo V8 is insane, but the BMW was better in so many ways. Oh well. As soon as the time is right, I will be in a 991 of some sort.

I miss my e60 m5 but it was a love/hate relationship
C6 s6 v10- very underappreciated car, that I miss more than the e60. Will add another clean one or s8 equivalent to the stable in a year or two.
Debated selling my 957 cayenne gts, but feel I will regret that too, so hopefully hold on to the little raw truck as a fair weather vehicle next to my future 911, crosses fingers for a 991 S
