What would you guys do? Sorry to ask, but I've been going back and forth on the decision about seat inserts on my GTS Club Coupe. Asked for Pepita but it was, understandably, denied on my order. But once I take delivery of the car, it's mine and I can decide to modify with Pepita inserts or leave as delivered in alcantara. I Understand that I'd potentially be messing with the value of my car, but I think I'd like to change my car to Pepita inserts.

I love the look and I love the connection to Porsche's heritage. Plus it would look spectacular with the club Blau. BUT, I liked the alcantara inserts much better than I expected after a couple of weeks with the car in Europe. And I figure I could always change the car back to alcantara inserts.

I understand that this is a decision that I need to make and own, but I'm curios what the group thinks. TIA

pepita ...you wanna interior that looks like one of Ferry's many many tweed jackets ?

gotta be Porsche's iconic PASCHA seat and door inserts , and preferably in dark blue alcantara..or better yet , genuine crushed velour ......" yeah bay-bay ! "

Default Keep it 'Factory Original'...

I love 'houndstooth' inserts. I love 'Pepita' inlays. I love the era of the early long-nose 911s.

And I love the updated 'Pepita' as a retro look on the '50th Anniversary' edition.

***

Yet, if I had a 60th Anniversary 'Club Coupe, I would keep the car 'factory original' with the alcantara inserts.

My dos centavos, for what it's worth.

Go look at the 991 GT3 in the 991 GT3 Forum that had inserts done in Pepita. Looks great.

Thanks Lex - yep, saw that. The particularly appealing part of that thread is that the mod is easily reversed on the lightweight gt3 seats. I bet, unfortunately, it's not so easy on the 18-ways.

It might be an if-then statement. If they're reversible then Pepita else Alcantara. Although, I imagine that they're reversible for a price even if it's not easily done.

I'm going to have to agree with our resident PTS (among other things) expert on this one ... Wouldn't modify your Club Coupe.

Thanks (and to Eduardo). It's what my head is saying. My heart is arguing for Pepita.

Seems fair. My heart won the transmission argument.

imo, the BEST way to add a little interior retro to the past- looking 60 CC ....only a couple hundred bucks but it really highlights the unique to the model a) exterior color and b) blue thread in the steering wheel and optionally on the shifter and can be changed out in seconds as the mood suits :

( plus, everyone is gonna keep those precious CC themed floor mats forever sealed in their orig packaging anyway , so these beat using std black carpeted floor mats for not much more $)

traditional more " British roadster " pattern :

or my choice for the 60CC , a " tweedier " weave with the more Pepita / Pascha -like vibe that your are going for and bluer to the eye with bolder , more Germanic pattern supported by this car's aggressively modern exterior and a better match for the Club Blau color ( doncha luv the matching heel pad ?) :

I would stick with the Alcantara. I am not a fan of Pepita, but it's personal preference of course. My wife says Pepita looks like a woman's dress.

I think the pepita seats look killer on the 911 50th cars, but those cars didn't have the bold exterior color of our Club Blau.

On the Club Coupes, with the Blau being such a bold identity statement, my feeling is the alcantara inserts are the perfect complement. The paint is the star on your car, J.D. The interior is a supporting player. Pepita inserts might "turn up the volume" on your interior more than you'd like.

The Coco Mats idea is very appealing, though. I've had them in my previous Porsches and always loved 'em. But...would blue on black Coco Mats or red on black look better?

Yep - agree. And after living with the Alcantara for 2,300 miles, I like it much better than expected. In this case, I think the right path is trust the taste of the guys running Porsche Exclusive.
