Official waiting room for those with a new 991.2 on order --- come on in !!

Ordered my 991.2 GTS Carmine Red in November, with a request for delivery in Mid April. All was good.
Fast forward to January 14, I was asking about order. Dealer said it was still in Pre production (not sure what that is), but on track.
Fast forward to Feb 14, Dealer said still in V200 status, adjusted Delivery to second week of May Build would lock in a week
FF to March 4th...still no lock, but close??? Time table looks good according to him
FF to March 9th and I made a change to options.
FF to March 27th and Build is locked Goes into production first week of April. Delivery pushed back to June 10th now!
I asked WTF...as I specifically back in November asked for the car to be delivered in late April so it could get wrapped and be ready for my 50th Bday. The answer was that each time you change the build before it locks, it pulls it out of productions slot and re submits it, thus pushing back the build. What the hell?? If thats the case, why wouldn't someone say this when knowing I had a specific target date?
My Sales person said he would contact the regional rep, to see if they could fast track it, but im not sure how all of this works.
Should I be worried the car wont be here in my time frame?

For a mid April delivery they would have had to finish the production first week of March.
I am am also surprised how much overlap there is with the 992 cars now being delivered, must be on separate assembly lines I guess.

OBTW, ask your SA for a copy of Porsches tracking schedule. It's only available through the dealer's Porsche computer system. This schedule shows all milestone dates (planned, expected and actual) for your car.

I hit V260 last week, three days early. If things progress as I hope, delivery should happen at the end of this month - 30 days early. The timeline hinges on whether the car is able to catch the Viking Queen on 4/9. C'mon baby!!!

Mine is due to go V260 on Friday, April 12. I hope they don't have like "bier Freitag" or something like that over there at the factory.

Congratulations! I think I used https://www.marinetraffic.com to track mine. You will have to pay a fee once your ship is out of shore tracking range and must be tracked by satellite. If you cancel within a certain period of time--I think several days--what you have paid them will be refunded to you.
