mine was scheduled for the 20th when it left Emden, but the trip to Davisville took 9 extra days.
Ordered on 6 August. Was supposed to be completed the week of 28 Sept, but then it was pushed back and completed 10/25. Left Emden on the 6th. The delays are only making me more excited to get it!!! We weren’t so anxious when we ordered my wife’s Cayenne 3 years ago. That one we just ordered and waited for the call that it arrived.
It all depends on the allocation. If you can find one for a 991.2 now it will be built very soon since production is almost over. But 6 months ago you might have received an allocation that was just released meaning you would wait.
Still could be some delay. I ordered around the 7th of this month and the original expected dealer inventory date was 3/22. So 3 1/2 months. I believe that allocation had just come into the dealership a day or so before I ordered. Although that's for a GTS for which I would guess there will be no 992s for quite some time.
My SA just sent an updated tracking sheet that shows everything moved up by 2 weeks w/dealer inventory now expected on 3/8. Which is nice and not entirely unexpected since, as you say, production of 991.2s is almost over. I guess Porsche would like to clear out the factory of 991.2s to focus solely on 992s.
I just got a text from my SA that my car arrived at the port (San Diego) and that it should be at the dealership by this afternoon. My scheduled delivery was December 21. Is it even possible to arrive at the port and delivered to the dealership on the same day? This is crazy good news!

Really hoping your SA is right about the possibility of the car arriving at port then getting to the dealer on the same date. Any less time in transit is good to hear about.
