36-44 tire pressure?

36-44 tire pressure?
Is there any negatives to running our tires at 36-44 full load all the time, other then comfort level? Will you get longer tire wear running these pressures all the time, even though a rougher ride? Thanks in advance !

It might improve fuel economy a bit.
The downside is that street driving handling on less that perfectly smooth surfaces may be compromised; the tires will feel greasy when heat is added at the track.
The effect on your fillings will depend on your dentist.

I have read that the much lower psi ( and much quieter and smoother ) US market " comfort settings " are actually best for optimal public road -speed winding road handling ...the 36/44 settings are " cover theirs and tire makers' legal a** " for four adults with full luggage load at 190 + mph crossing the Mojave Desert at high noon on a 120 degrees day , mile after mile after mile.
IOW, the comfort settings , which are to be used " only " up to max speed of 165 mph ( and the TPMs, MFD and rev limiter will let you know when you are trying to exceed that ) are not randomly picked..that is also why they vary by the tire diameter as well as the drivetrain , vs the " default " 36/44 that all 991 variants have spec'd for ability to run ECU unfettered max speed
I run 30/33 per the specs for my C4S all the time ...the " noisy " oem PZeros are so quiet at those pressures that I can hear the soft burble of the exhaust , even with PSE off , at steady highway speed vs previous tire noise and tire drone . Very soothing !
In winding road driving , no detriment in terms of my personal driving style on public roads . Win -Win , as far as I am concerned , but as always " YMMV " .

Does anyone use Nitrogen here? Looks like my dealership uses it, not sure if there is an advantage or they just want to charge you for something totally unnecessary, dont see myself going to a dealer just to get my tires pumped up.

Don't waste your money on nitrogen. First your tires are already 80% nitrogen with nomal air fill. We used to use nitrogen when I raced motorcycles. A 1lb increase in tire pressure (tires increase pressure as heat builds up) this is normal and no big deal....on the race track - CAN be a big deal, but for street driving it doesn't matter at all. Save it for the undercoating...lol.

I like nitrogen for winter hibernation. Some years I do it, other years I skip. Alway 55-55 psi for long term storage.

I always thought nitrogen was bs but when the snow tires for my Audi were mounted and filled with nitrogen I became a believer. They have not dropped more than one pound in three years.

I like running my tire pressures at 36/40.

I run MPSS on my 4S. Fronts are 32 rears 36. Handling and ride are both great. Planted to the road great in the curves and on uneven surfaces.
The higher pressures are for full load which is 2 plus passengers and frunk full of stuff. I find at those pressures the car doesn't have the road grip and confidence in the curves especially wet.

I run cup 2s now but on p zeros I tried to stay at 36/37 hot on the track with that alignment. Higher temps will wear the center of the tire more independent of alignment once you get passed the break point. Hard to know what that is for your settings short of pyrometer readings at various temps. The top speed limits have always seemed odd to me as I've done some Vmax testing on closed tracks and temps and pressures build very quickly at those speeds. Maybe in a Veyron it happens quick enough?
