Started doing some of my winter-storage cleaning prep routine last weekend. Still have two more drives planned this season if the weather holds out. Wisconsin this weekend if the fall colors hold out a few more days, and the snow stays away, and then Missouri wine country next week to see the fall colors there. I'll air up before I leave because we are already seeing night time lows of 30-ish. Will call State Farm on 10/29 an turn off the issurance till March Madness weekend 2019. Be safe out there.

I enjoy my 4-5 month "vacation" from all things Porsche. Plus, I have many other hobbies and interests that occupy my time from November through March. It's not MY driving that concerns me during the winter, it's the OTHER idiots on the roadways . And there's no winter tire/wheel package available that magically makes salt and brine spray go away. That's the real nail in the winter-driving-coffin.......SALT. I'm a low NaCl & C6H12O6 kind of driver.

Since I picked up two screws (one for each tire) about a month ago I already switched to my winter set. If anyone needs two good Pirelli 20's let me know. Switching to PS4's in the spring.

great reminder for new owners who have gotten the scarey sound for the first time. Still remember it when I heard it for the first time. Thanks Lex!

Thanks for the PSA. Yep just started occurring here in Chicago. The temps are certainly low enough in the mornings to create the effect. Still cringe.

Got the low tire pressure light last weekend, just a very short drive, but today I got it in the morning, but things warmed back up later in the day so they were back up to normal.
Definitely going to add another 5lbs or so to all 4 tires to get them back up to spec.
I am thinking another 2 weeks before storage for me. Probably drive next weekend and cleanup and then store the following weekend. Busy November for me so I would rather get storage done while it is still warm and also while I have time.
Also agree with you Lexvan, nice to have a 4 month relaxing time away from driving. I enjoy it so much, but when I get back in and drive in the spring it makes me appreciate it so much more, especially when I don't have salt damage and corrosion on my car. Just means some time to spend on Rennlist instead of driving.

Not only parking there seems to be so many acorns this year ,at least in CT, that while driving during a windy day they were falling like little missiles at my car while I drove car. No dents thankfully but one did tear a little bit of PPF on my hood.
