Climate Control Automatically Comes On

Climate Control Automatically Comes On
Is there any way to have the climate control system remember its last setting and default to it the next time the car is started? When I have the climate control system off at engine shut down, it still turns on when I restart the car (with the A/C and everything). Is there a way to get it to remember its last setting?
Thanks for your help.

I think that the Porsche engineers listened to this common complaint about the system. I had this same annoyance in my 2013 C4, but my 2015 Macan Turbo does not do this. It will remain in its last setting, including completely off.

If your 911 has the memory package, you should be able to store not only seat/mirror/steering wheel settings, but also PCM and A/C preferences as well to your key. You can do this manually with the driver memory buttons on the door, or by enabling "Auto Memory" through the vehicle settings menu in the multi-function display. This link is technically from the online Boxster manual, but it should also apply to your 991. Hopefully this helps!
