Default new TPMS question???

just put the Forgeline's on the car, the (new) TPMS sensors do not seem to (yet) be registered with the car, is there something I need to do or is it just a matter of time for them to register themselves with the car?

TIA ...pictures to follow...

p.s
taking the front center locks off is a M*ther-f**ker even with the brakes "on" the wheels still spin, you really need to loosen them with the weight of the car on the fronts... back are easy ...

I had to read the manual.

I believe there's a process to get the car to sync up to new sensors.

If I come across my manual I'll track down the section.

seems like the car will simply "learn" the new sensors according to the manual.

that's what I am afraid of! - they were fitted at Forgeline prior to the wheels being shipped so I hope they got it right ... otherwise its going to be a pain to take them off and install the correct ones!

You'll know soon. Doesn't take more than a few minutes for the car to pick them up.

Just go for a quick drive. I think you're supposed to drive it for them to link up.

Go into the multi function display and reset the TPMS.. Select a different load and/or tire type. It will run through a relearn function. Then switch back to the settings you want. It will relearn again.

yeah according to the manual they "learn" above 16mph ... unfortunately I drove around yesterday already ...

I'll try again...

I "looked" at the sensors before I mounted them and noted that they were RDE011 which "appear" to be compatible ... lets see ... I'm going to be VERY
pissed if I have to unmount the wheels and tires to replace the TPMS ... I dont
want to drive around with a TPMS alert on the dash all the time!

That's it..... I had to do that as well to kick the car into learn mode. Then it was pretty quick.
