Don't forget the AMG GT, the RS7 and what I think is the best one of all...the Audi TT RS. All of these are epic.

My ears must have blinked right there at the end of the Porsche video. Between the background music and sound effects the few milliseconds of engine noise at the end we're very hard to discern. Besides that what the heck can we tell listening to any audio clip that originates from an unknown recording device with playback through phone, tablet, or PC speakers? I know it's fun to speculate but has anyone really found value in the myriad of aftermarket exhaust YouTube videos? Why is this any different. Okay, I'll turn off my grouch mode now and just wait until March when I can go to the dealer and hear for myself.

The RS7 sounds awesome, but that's because of the motor itself, which is just a beast.

I think it sounds okay. Smaller engine, turbocharged, I wouldn't expect it to sound the same as the 3.8 with PSE.

On mine, the exhaust sounds better than any car I have ever owned. I have been complemented on the sound many times with other Porsche owners asking me what kind of exhaust I had. (It is a completely stock 911 S [991] with PSE).

Hard to tell from a video clip, but with PSE activated, it sounds better than my '15 TT. However, it doesn't seem to come close to the NA 3.8L engine with PSE. NA engine with PSE just sounds epic.

True fart can.

I've used to recognize Porsche sound with my eyes closed. If one would pass me on the street and I'd have my back turned I knew it's a Porsche 911 going by. This ^^^ is not a Porsche 911...sorry...

Agreed. Of all the recordings, that one sounds the worst. When I hear that, in my mind I picture a 10 year old Civic with a bad body kit and a coffee can tailpipe.

You can sort of hear the artificial part, it is definitely not the sound that can be generated by a NA boxer engine.

I am not saying it is bad, just not what I would typically expect from a 911's boxer.
