I'm pretty certain he's just pushing the button on the std one ... but I will look more closely!

You were right ... I paused the show a couple of times and you can see it was raised in one and in another it was lowered .. Good eye

Seriously? On a car that is offered with leather-covered vent slats and painted headlight washers, this upgrade is easily one of the more understandable options...

Another totally worth it upgrade, IMO, are the aluminum pedals. Really nice to see every time you get into the car!

Isn't there one missing?

Anyone from New Jersey or Oregon ordered this? There is no self-service gas station in here (Hong Kong), the only time I would see the cap would be washing my car.

Ok guys I bought this and made the mistake of not realizing it is a plastic cap like the one that comes with our cars but has the 'aluminum look' ...didn't catch it was just a 'look'

I know the title says it but I made the purchase fast thinking it was aluminum ... Anyway my mistake but for those that buy this I hope you read this and realize it is a plastic 'super light' cap ... No hefty feel ... Well I guess it looks cool yes I'm a little disappointed.
Again my mistake I should have read the description a little better.

It's probably a good hing that it is plastic. If it was truly aluminum, even if clear-coated, it might start to oxidize and get grungy looking...

You probably read the title as; "Look, Aluminum Gas Cap!". Happens.

Could you imagine the care that would be needed if it was really aluminum? Would leave so many dents on the front fender. They did you a favor.

Mine is actual aluminum - bought it off of ebay a few years ago. No maintenance, no fuss, and no dents in my fender.

Glad I specced it, though I'd prefer it were actually aluminium. But a nice nod to the past racing cars.

"Not bad" ??? It's amazing what Porsche price gouging we have all been accustomed to!

Oh, that reminds me, I need to order another $60 T-Shirt.

I keep thinking about hitting my cap with some Wurth Aluminum Spray Paint I have in my shop. The stuff looks great on plastic. Just don't know how it will take to a life of slightly-gassy-fingers putting it off and on. Also haven't looked at how hard it is to untether so I could spray it. I bet if I do it I'll always make sure my fingers don't have any gasoline on them when I touch it.
