Default 4/4s light strip

I have an opportunity to buy a really nice C4S but I prefer the clean look of the C2/C2S rear bumper.

Has anyone ever removed the center light strip on the C4/C4S? Seems like if you remove it, there will be a gap. Any options on how to deal with it?

Paint it ? Wrap it ? Remove it and fill it in with something?

You can just have it painted the same color as the car. Remove the light and have a body shop do it.

On the GTS, they put a plastic grill there for the non-4 models. There's that option of putting the grill there too.

Imagine the center light painted. You'd forget it was ever there.

Good idea. But the Suncoast website says that the grill only works for the 50th anniversary and the GTS and no other models. I wonder if that's true. I figure that they must all share the same wide body bumper...

I like the light strip on my 13 C4. Pulls the taillights together IMHO.

Not possible. At least not easily.

If you like the widebody, but don't care about AWD, then get the GTS.

If you like the widebody, but insist on AWD, then get the TT/TTS.

If you must have widebody, AWD, and NA, then get the C4S and take it to a body shop.

Default Awesome pics

Tough to make my point when you bring out the awsome pics! I know I'm in the minority by wanting a 4s without a light strip.
Somehow this turned into a pro-light strip thread. Lol. Anyhow I totally respect it... That's what's so special about Porsche and the zillions of options that it offers. Seems like no two are exactly alike and there is something out there for everyone.

do what increases your personal enjoyment , but just be sure it is 100% reversible or you will take a hit in resale , as most C4/ C4S owners and potential buyers think this is its most iconic feature and which instantly identifies its wide body nature as well as accentuating that visually ...especially at night !

Who doesn't like a "big butt" with a thong strip across the back.
