The 911 and especially the GTS's have been marketed so personally I think it's hard to move lot cars. I assume it's gotten worse over the years. Anyone spending new 911 cash, most likely want to custom configure every aspect of the car. Why settle?

its sad that so many cars are on lot ... since quite a few people struggled to get an allocation to spec...

Today.

The bubble is starting to leak. Wait to see the over inflated car market if it pops!

^^^

I'm going to side with the slight correction / pause to check confidence / this should be no big deal voices.

Crazy about the number of unsold 2015 GTSs. I thought those had pretty much been absorbed. I have to imagine that the GTS hurt Turbo sales a bit.

Thanks for the work, comments and perspective BTW. The Hot for Sale Thread has been entertaining for months now.

To "justabout", I'm getting 6.5% off MSRP on my Club Coupe. I hope that helps your negotiation. This will be my 15th car I've bought from my chosen dealership so, no negotiation, that's what they offered and I felt it was fair. Now given, I've traded a bit so some winners and some losers but, I feel balanced in the end. Regarding the Market, anyone watching knew a 20% correction was coming by years end. Most analyst predicted it. I feel most of us aren't surprised. As Warren Buffet said, "If you like hamburger, what do you want to happen to the price of beef?" Negotiate a 5% or greater discount on the car and dollar cost average as the market corrects. 3 years from now, you'll be fine.

I assume discounts should be the norm like the other variants. No fire sales for sure.
With a GTS about the same price as a well optioned non- power kit C2S or C4S coupe or cab , what dealer( or bespoke buyer ) would even spec the latter these last 6-9 months ?

I think dealers are obligated to take certain allocations and lot cars in different variants. Helps keep their future allocations too. I agree, the GTS killed the S/4S sales.

Amazing that with only a handful of these club coupe GTS cars made that people are getting discounts off of MSRP. But what is even more amazing is that we here have yet another thread where some are judging real market supply by cars.com listings. Just wow.

Buyer is totally in drivers seat all the way with regards to the price paid , as PCNA rep calls each dealer to remind them that the car MUST go back to PCNA for offering by Vu to the next person on the PCA waiting list if the orig assignee backs out, even after car arrives off the transporter , for whatever reason , including displeasure with sales price . On the flip side, assignee must be first retail buyer with final sales contract and documents reviewed by PCNA ..it cannot be reassigned by assignee before orig purchase. Dealership also gets additional cash from PCNA for handling the GTS CC .so with that, a buyer offering to pay $500 over invoice ( about 10-12 % off MSRP ) is a fair offer to the dealer for basically " found money " and an extra car allocation all " out of the blue" , as well as perhaps some free publicity ! It probably depends most on the quality of your relationship with mgmt over the long term, not how many cars bought in that period.

Market supply? Just a rough estimate of what's on dealer lots since the GTS question came up.
By the way, the GTS's at this point are barely flipping. I'm sure it will change, but no frenzy with those buyers.

Have anything better to go by? Let me know. The cars.com number is even low as not all dealers post on there obviously.

Good thing the Club Coupe guys are getting discounts. That's the way it should be. The GT market has turned into a circus side show unfortunately.

Loving the market today...gulp, and yes the correction was predicted just hate to actually see it on the days of..."lost" exactly what my car cost in the last 3 days. Awesome. But know it will go back the other way eventually. Good thing I already bought the car so I don't feel bad about it.

Only one GTS on my local dealer's lot but nice selection of S and 4S in various forms. A larger number of cabrios. I am glad to see breaks on the CC off MSRP, and yup the car would sell quick if PCA didn't get it back. The more I see it I get more interested. If I was a long term Porsche owner I no doubt would have tried as hard as possible to get one. Still myself should have bought a 50th car that goes well with the rest of my collection of limited edition cars but didn't want to run one into the ground which is what is going to happen to my 991 as my daily driver. Just got my ducktail in finally today so in a week and a half my STG991 transformation will be started on my car to get the sport design bumper and duck on.
