911 GTS Club Coupe Price Negotiation
My coupe will be built in late September. I haven't started the price negotiation but it seems if I wait until the car arrives at the dealer, that is too late so in the next week or two this will be settled. Are loyal customers getting discounts and if so, how difficult were the negotiations? Thanks in advance.

You placed an order with deposit for a numbered PCA Club car and didn't talk money ahead of time? I think you are going to be a full MSRP car at this point....but hey, you won't know until you try.

I'll be most curious how you make out on this. Maybe shoot for 8 %? The thing is, they probably know that if you pass on it, they could sell it for full list and maybe then some on EBAY.

I suspect that worst-case is full retail. It would, however, be reasonable for you to be thinking something like 4 to 8% off of invoice. My "deal" with my dealer was to split the difference between actual invoice and MSRP, which seemed reasonable and balanced.
For context, these cars don't count against your dealer's allocation; they basically represent additional profit. Not only that, for handling the CC transaction, they receive an additional 2016 allocation. So, they're making whatever they make on your deal PLUS whatever they make on that deal.

Sorry - one other relevant bit of info. They won't know what the actual invoice is for some number of months. The Club Coupe order process works very differently from the "normal" process. So, all you can really do is come to broad terms with your dealer until they have the invoice. In my case, that wasn't until after my car was built.

I thought someone had posted that if the buyer passes on it - the allocation will go to someone else, and presumably the dealer loses the car? That would give some power back to the buyer.

Exactly. That's the way it's supposed to work. The right to the car reverts back to PCA if the buyer backs out.

In short, I dont think you are going to see any "trunk money" for these cars, YMMV.

I assume discounts should be the norm like the other variants. No fire sales for sure.
