Default What should I pay for a 13 991?

Hey gang. I'm the proud owner of a cayenne s and am looking to make the leap to a 13 base model 991.

I have some wishes like luxor interior and better-than-basic wheels but not much else.

I live in sc but am willing to drive as far as Miami for a good deal. I'm seeing them as low as mid 60s for a reasonable car, does this seem good?

My local dealer bottoms out at low 70s but they are certified.

I apologize if this is the wrong place to ask but I saw a post on haggling in the 997 forums so I thought I'd take a shot

Any tips would be awesome! !

Thanks!

First I would decide what all you want in your purchase, price will also vary depending on miles. Shop around and ensure you find one the correct color and optioned the way you want it.

I've found several that have the options and colors I want. They range from 62k at an off lease only dealer in Miami and 7lk at a local porsche dealer who car gurus says is regularly over charging and whom I'm seem have crap cars in the lot.

I think my main question is what level of haggling should I attempt to engage in.

Haggle like a rug merchant! The worst they can say is "no".

I was really hoping to have someone who had experience give me a ball park as to what kind of discounts I should look for. If the car is 70K should I ask for 10K off? 5k?

I am not a haggler by nature and I've never bought a car this expensive, I have literally no experience, so perhaps a bit more verbose advice would help?

Thanks!

Hey Ben:

1) start your own thread
2) list more info about the car, a LOT more

We will help you!

Awesome, thanks LexVan. I have 2 in mind, I can include links to each in the thread. When you say start my own thread, I should start a different thread than this one? Is there a better sub forum?

Thanks again!

Just use the proper 911 sub forum. I assume you are looking at a 991 variant. If not post in the 997 forum, or other. Cool.

I'm in the process of purchasing a CPO 13' 991 with 9k miles, MSRP of $104k, maintenance plan and enclosed shipping for 1,000 miles for under $70k. There are good deals out there, just do your research and find the one you want. I always ask for the build sheet, carfax, CPO report and all records. Even then it doesn't hurt to have a 3rd party inspection if you're buying sight unseen. Worth the $150ish to find the one that had paint work done that wasn't reported on the carfax.

wow that is beautiful Dalema.

This is the one I am looking at currently: http://www.cargurus.com/Cars/invento...ting=120152926

61K seems like a good price already but I didn't know if I should go lower, or if there were other warning flags.

I should add, I would totally do the one in #480 that you posted, if I thought I could get it under 70

Hey Ben,
As suggested, look over STG thread on Hot Deal......STG is awesome and very thorough. Other people on here as well are very knowledgeable and willing to help, just give a list of options you want or better yet find a car as suggested and they will help. I found my car this way! Good luck!

Ok, thanks everyone!

I posted in the STG thread with my find. Actually had a local find at a dealer, with a car thats not listed on the internet yet. Test drove it yesterday.

If everyone says its good, who knows!

Ben, have a direct link to the dealer? Thanks

If not a Porsche dealer no CPO available and if it's this "off lease" dealer, I'd be cautious from dealers like that.
