Jeff's 2016 Carmine Red Targa GTS Thread
Hi,
I've been a huge Porsche fan since I was old enough to start plastering my walls with car posters. While I love cars in general and would love to have a wide ranging collection, Porsche has always been at the center of my love affair with automobiles.
My first Porsche was a white 78 SC Targa which I spent a lot of time rebuilding with my father. I learned a lot from that car and in particular I learned that speeding tickets are expensive and that you can put a ton of money into a rebuild that is hard to get back when it comes time to sell the car.
My second Porsche was a white 87 M491 Cab. I loved that car and it turned out to be a much better investment than my first Targa. When I saw the Targa GTS I decided that I needed to sell the 87 and make room in my garage for my first new Porsche.
After a long build/wait/delivery process I'm happy to report that my Carmine Red Targa GTS arrived in Seattle yesterday and is at the dealer getting prepared for delivery to me tomorrow!

I'll be using this thread to share photos, etc. which of course will start with the obligatory blurred photos taken by my SA as the car was being delivered to the dealership. Why they never seem to be able to take a clear picture is beyond me but after such a long wait I will take anything I can get
Better photos will soon follow my actual delivery
I didn't like the GTS interior due to the Alcantara so I went with Carmine Red accents to try and spice it up a bit. I was nervous but really love it!
I take delivery tomorrow and I have already scheduled a few days off this week to go on a nice long drive. Lots more photos to follow!
Thanks,
Jeff

Three Wheelin'
Nice config! The wait is worth it. Stop frequently and take pics for us on your first drive.

Thanks! Vise's Sapphire Blue GTS was the inspiration for that. Until I read through his thread and saw the photos I didn't know this was an option. I can't wait to see it in person and take some real pictures!
