I took the day off from work, we had a sitter come over and my wife and I took a nice long drive from Seattle to Leavenworth and back. Rt 2 up and I90 back. Basically it was 5 hours of driving bliss covering 250 miles of beautiful Northwest roads so we could enjoy a bratwurst and beer in 102 degree heat. In other words, it was awesome! I'm looking forward to a lot more road trips in our future. The only issue was that we were having so much fun driving the car that we didn't stop to take any pictures. Just a few quick ones once we arrived.
Parked in Leavenworth and taking a nice break from a spirited drive down Rt 2
It was 102 degrees but we still tried to capture a quick selfie before heading home

Thanks everyone for the kind comments. It's fun to get a chance to share back given how much time I spent staring at all of your photos and pouring over the threads here while waiting for my car! Here are a few additional photos taken with a better camera but unfortunately not the better photographer
A side shot in some decent lighting:
I just love every angle on this car:
My kids came along for the ride, can you tell which one is behaving so he can get another ride and which one is 4
Some interior shots:

I hear you on the sticky fingers comment. On one hand I want my boys to be car kids and as excited about the new car as I am. On the other hand I keep yelling at them to wash up before the drive, to keep their feet on the floor, to stop touching all the buttons, to keep their hands off the paint, etc. I realized that I was zapping the fun out of it for them and that I need to relax a bit. I can always wash it later

LOL Jeff. They love to grab onto the steering wheel, push the buttons and kick the back of the passenger seat with their dusty shoes! I always cringe a little however watching the tennis rackets and baseball bats get carried 4 inches away from the car!

do you notice any wind noise on the highway with the top on? Having said that, you probably drive with the top down....lol.......My car exits the factory on Friday.....Same exterior as yours....How do you like it???

I love my car. I've loved every new car but this is different. It brings more joy driving this car than anything I've ever driven. It's a thing of beauty, fun to look at, I never get sick of watching the Targa top operate and damn this car is fast. The handling is unreal and regardless of what other people have said I love the PDCC. Flat. Always.
In terms of noise here are my quick thoughts. Top up the car is as quiet as any coupe I've been in. No discernible wind noise but I wouldn't call the car quiet. Road/tire noise is always present but again, just like a 991 coupe with Pirellis . Top down I can still make calls and be heard and talking to passengers isn't a problem ever. Now...top down in a tunnel and I can't hear a damn thing. But mostly because I always turn on the sport exhaust and downshift
One thing I have to admit being disappointed about is that my car has some rattles that I need to eventually get to the bottom of. Based on road condition (we have ****ty roads in Seattle) I get a dash rattle and a rattle that seems to be coming from behind me. Occasionally a door rattle as well. To be honest it drives me nuts and I will need to work hard to find a solution, a car this well designed shouldn't rattle as much as mine does. No noise issues at all from the top, up or down.
Have fun tracking your car as it makes the long trip to you. The wait, the obsessing, the constant refreshing of the Panama Canal web cam...it all serves to make the enjoyment of actually having the car that much better!

Thanks for the great "review". I agree....NO RATTLES....... take it back to the dealer and they will solve the problem...maybe give you a nice cayenne to drive while they fix it!
I can't wait to see mine.....

Excellent! As painful as the wait was it seems like a distant memory, erased by the joy of driving this amazing car! I'm looking forward to your review and photos.
