Question Valentine 1 - Mounting and Wiring Ideas

Help, looking for options to mount and wire my V1 in the GTS. I've seen the BlendMount and, while the quality looks nice, it has the V1 hanging below the rearview mirror, pretty low, obstructive and obvious.... I'm thinking the best position would be under the driver's visor, toward the rear and to the left of the mirror.

Are there other options for mounting a Valentine 1?

Of course the detector needs power too. Threads show long runs to the fuse box. Anything closer, e.g. taking power from near the mirror / overhead lights?

Thanks in advance for the advice.

Here is a DIY post for Invisicord tapping into the mirror.

Car is small and mounting options are limited.

I mount my Escort with a mirror mount as I feel this is the best of few options. I have no visibility issues. I don't use a Blendmount, but assume that it can be adjusted so that the detector can be adjusted upwards closer to the mirror.

I mounted mine to the right of the mirror, tucked the cable into the trim, and ran it into the plug in the glovebox.

No cutting.

Try the blendmount or find someone who has one. It is really great, does not hamper vision and allows both visors to remain functional.

Look at this thread. You'll find some pictures I took after installing the V1 with a blendmount. You'll also see the last few posts talk about visibility issues.
