Default J.D. -C7 Corvette beat the 911 as the " most satisfying midsize premium sports car "

http://www.carbuzz.com/news/2015/8/2...ficial-7728442

A total of 84,000 people who bought a new Corvette within 90 days were asked several questions about their cars, such as acceleration, fuel economy, and audio system quality. What jumped out here is one particular deciding factor: cargo space. "Interestingly, storage was also an advantage vs. the competition in this segment – with owners citing more trunk space," stated J.D. Power.

Not saying C7 isn't a great car, but J.D. Power is a stupid marketing tool.

I agree.

FWIW,I wasn't trying to flame the 911,I was merely posting a piece of news I've just read.

Also,I wouldn't consider " cargo space " as a main criteria if I were cross-shopping the 2,but that's just me...

Mid-size? Both are the size of Audi A4 sedans. A 1963 Corvette is midsize and a 356 is small.

No, I get it. Didn't think you were. JD Powers is a nice tool for car companies to use in commercials to sell family cars.

Every time I get cocky thinking I have a pretty good handle on the degradation of civilization something like this comes along and forces me to recalibrate. Down. Always down.

According to the article, JD Powers polled 84,000 people who had bought a new corvette in the last 90 days. Does Porsche sell that many 911's in a year? No, I think it would be more like two or three years. Anyway, they released their study of the 84,000 (vs, what? The 29,000?) and "the corvette has beaten the 911 at…. [drumroll please] something official." Which turns out to be… cargo space.

And yet, this may not even be the dumbest comparison ….. I give you…. Consumer Reports!

Full douche = any modern Lamborghini
Aspirational douche = any modern corvette

By this logic, I am not sure what that makes the 911 on the douche scale, but at least it's not aspirational or full douche.

Chuck,
That was scintillating. I'm going to watch it again in bed on my iPad as a sleep aid. Thanks.

The new 'Vette sounds awesome. It just isn't me. May try a test drive however. How do you think the Chevy dealer would react if I drove my '15 Targa 4S onto his lot and asked for a test drive? I guess if I wanted to do a trade in I'd have to buy two Sting Rays.

I think the consumer report dudes were high and drunk when they filmed that piece.
