PTS 2016 targa GTS cookin'...
Locked in my order a couple weeks ago and looking forwards to being back in a Porsche. I previously had a 2010 GT3, which was a little impractical as a DD with its heavy clutch and high revving motor. Completely sold on the targa top and manual tranny =). Here's my build...

I had the same experience: had to call every dealer in the Bay Area to finally find one with an allocation. They gave me a few thousand dollars off and included the fancier LED lights for no cost but as a percentage of the total cost, probably less than 2% off. I think Targa GTS allocations are pretty rare and I would have paid MSRP if necessary.

PTS was closed on July 3rd for the 991. Hope you got your ordered confirmed and locked before then. I ordered my PTS in April and I am now looking at a January completion, the original completion date was October but PTS demand has caused a longer waiting time. But I think all the 911.1 has to finish production by the end of January, before 991.2 production takes over completely.

I got word from my dealer prior to July 3rd that my PTS order was approved, final paperwork came through and is however dated July 6. My salesman told me he will have more specific build and delivery dates after the factory reopens from their August holiday. Hopefully everything went through on time =)
