Could be. I think with the new engine, they need to have as many options as possible to choose from to keep buyers happy. They might push up some of the variants.

Have a great Labor Day guys.

I'm bored with the 991.2 website and chat already now that the cat is out of the bag. Off to more important stuff.

"The new engine is heavier than the unit it replaces by around 40kg which means more weight now sits over the rear"

Additional 88lbs on the rear is no small amount.

Haven't you read all the posts on here since 8am this morning?? It was discovered early today.

There's like four 991.2 threads. Everyone feels like starting a new one with every new article.

Lol, if I had I wouldn't have posted it. Nothing like keeping informed. I was showing the old configurator for some reason up until 30 mins ago so I figured it just happened. Maybe it hit different areas at different times. Not sure. Thanks

Hopefully you can play around with your options somehow still. Not likely huh?? That's the unfortunate part. Are you pretty much decided on a build??

I luckily have it figured out and printed off from prior but just am toggling back and fourth between white or guards red. Did you hear the sound clip of the new engine by chance on the site?

Thanks

Sounds generic (in the video I saw). Won't top your GTS soundtrack.

White is a safer choice, but more common. Guards Red is very nice. One thing a hear from guys looking at used cars is that they're all white, black, and silver.

Exactly what I thought on the sound. I have heard exactly that too. Black, white, and silver. I was thinking of doing the lava orange but in person they had one and it didn't quite do it for me. I wish they had the sky blue color like Larrys car or maybe some greens. Oh well! lol. Thanks

991.2 looks nice and I'm sure will continue to advance the Porsche brand...

Like others, I still love my 2016 GTS and have no regrets. I am just hoping that somehow/someway, I can get that new PCM in my car Looks like a combo software and hardware update...I guess I will just have to wait and see...

Cheers

There will be some upgrade options available from what I've read. To what degree, not sure. We'll see. Definitely one of the better improvements on the 991.2

That may actually revive a bit of the 911 feeling (err... defect) in the 991.

I paid $100K for a 991.1 last year. I don't think the new car is worth the money for me.

Check back with me after the end of the new 991.2 turbo production. I may then buy one.
