Tinted GT3 RS Tail Lights on my Carrera S
Recently i purchased the original RS tail lights from sun coast parts
i was really in doubt whether they will look nice or not
i think they turned out to be ok,
am sharing few pictures to see your opinions

Nice pics. Good looking car. Rear lights are a subtle change.

They look great... I briefly considered this but the price is frankly outrageous. I don't mind the Porsche tax but that is straight thievery.
I may however apply a very (very) light tint film to my lights to emulate the look... still undecided. I hate the blacked out/tinted tail look in general but the GT3 RS lights strike the perfect balance for me.

I noticed the stock lights are red lens and red plastic housings, the clear lights are clear over black plastic housings and the RS appears to be the red lenses over the black plastic. Are the RS light interiors any different?

Have a body shop paint your existing ones with a tinted clear coat. I had my clear tails painted that way to give them a smoked look. Took like 6 coats, because you don't want the clear tinted too much because it will look blotchy. You can do the same with the reds instead of buying a whole new set. The RS ones really don't look too much darker than the regulars.

Just be careful, there is an issue with guys using clear film over their headlights and ruining the lights. I have no idea whether the rear lights would be prone to the same problem, but it might be worth looking into if you plan on reversing the mod should you not like it.

Guys, I swapped out my factory red rear lenses for clear ones. If anyone wants the original red tail lights let me know. I assume you could have them tinted and get the RS look for much less money.
