I'm looking at picking up a 2013 base coupe soon and have found one that I would like some feedback on. Here's the option list:
427 - 20-inch Carrera Classic wheel
446 - Wheel center caps with colored Porsche Crest
487 - 7-speed Manual Transmission
559 - Window trim in high gloss Aluminum
651 - Electric sunroof
672 - Navigation Module
844 - Multi-function Steering Wheel
A1 - Black
P06 - Power Sport Seats (14-way)
P37 - BOSE® Audio Package
P39 - Premium Package Plus
UG - Luxor Beige standard interior
XLT - Sport Tailpipes
Black, beige interior, 11k mi, 7MT. They're asking ~74k for it. Does this seem reasonable? Does anyone have any advice on an appropriate first offer?
Thanks for all the help, hope to be participating in the forum with a 991 in the stable soon.
That's a very very fair asking price. Anything below the asking price is icing. Offer $70,500 and see what they counter. Then maybe accept the counter price with one free oil change.
Appreciate the input. I'm glad to hear it seems fair; it seems like it's pretty close to the other models I've seen for sale, but just wanted to be sure. Hopefully I'll be able to add some pics from my driveway after this weekend, if all goes well.
The only thing that strikes me odd about that build is the gloss aluminum window trim. Is that common with the beige interior? I've never seen that on a black car and seems like it would look odd.
I'd suggest comparing it to the hot sale of the week thread. If it was an S it would seem to be a good deal, but I don't follow the prices too much.
This is very similar to the base coupe I turned in off lease, except it had PDK which was a $4K option. It sat at the dealership at around $78K for a long time.
I like the trim. It is reminiscent of the older cars and accentuates the timeless lines of the car. It wasn't available on my GTS and might not have worked with the more sporty theme I went with but I do like it on the right car. Black with beige seems a nice, classy combination and the window trim fits right in IMHO.

I agree. And while I generally prefer black trim, chrome is more traditional and works really well on this car.

That's what I have been thinking. I think I may offer just under 70 and see what happens. All the S models I've seen (including on that thread) look to be 10-20k more than this.
I wound up getting a 2012 S instead though, but they still had room to negotiate at that price. But then again, I had just finishedsigning the papers on the Cayenne we ordered when we started negotiatons on the 911.
I did find it off-putting at first. Is it possible to replace it with black if I decide I don't like it?
Yes, it is possible. Basically two parts. However, you can't replace the rear-curved trim parts around the side rear window without replacing the ENTIRE rear side window. The trim is factory fastened to the window and is not replaceable separately. Search for other threads on this subject (I believe member STG991 posted when he had that particular trim piece replaced). Fairly easy project, honestly. Window just pops-out....
Got a few thousand off plus a new set of rear tires and a leather spot fixed/front bumper spots fixed. I'm happy with the deal I got, although I'm sure I could have gotten more. I had to leave it with the dealer for the clutch line to be replaced but it should be shipped up tomorrow. Absolutely cannot wait, and the aluminum trim looked fantastic in person.
Hi Everyone!
Just joined rennlist. So happy to come across this thread. I am also looking at a 2013 CPO 911 base which is very similar to yours. Found one but they are asking ~77K for it. cav14 I would be very interested to what the few thousand ended being exactly :-) This will hopefully be my first Porsche! Going in tomorrow to make a deal on it so more information the better going into it.
