We've had our 6MT Targa S for just a few weeks... I wrestled with steering wheel choice but the stalk at 4:00 gives you lots of functionality. I love our Sport Design wheel and don't feel like we're missing a thing... but is the '16 MF wheel like the 918?

I didn't notice how long you've been in Newport Beach, but hopefully you've discovered Ortega Hwy.
Here since Nov, aware of Ortega but haven't investigated yet... Had an MV Agusta F1000 when in Pasadena for a few years but stuck to the 2. New adventures to be had down this way...!!

Others, thank you for the kind words! I showed my wife the thread--she assumes the web is invested with idiots, trolls, and bullies. Nice to find Rennlist......

Funny, my wife calls you guys my "boyfriends." As in, "are you talking to your boyfriends again?"

Nice Bike.

Ortega is, I think, the closest and best twisty road for Newport Beach. Many, many, many, many moons ago I lived in Mission Viejo and had the use of two 328s for a summer. I'm pretty sure that my wife's GTI could give those cars a good challenge, but at the time I was young, they were f-cars, and by the end of summer I knew that road very well. It's big fun.

It may be a late add to the MY16 option list, but I think it's more probably now that it will come with the 991.2 facelift.

So I need a little help from anyone with oppinions on the interior....

Looks like 14 way + (the required) full leather option is more expensive than the 18 way & standard leather/interior surfaces.

Note that in either case I would not have alcantara (which I do not want anyway).

Any clear winner here? 14 way/full leather or 18 way/standard leather? Appreciate any input...

What matters is which is more comfortable to you! Go to your dealer and sit in both for 20 min each.

There is a difference between the 14 way plus and the 18 way standard, but if you compare the 14 way plus with the 18 way plus, the price is the same. The difference between the plus and the standard is that the plus gives you some added options such as ventilated seats, entry and drive, light package, etc. I went with the 14 way plus as I did not like the different color plastic backing on the 18 way. I don't know -- call me nuts.

I've had both the 14-way powered seats and the 18-way powered seats. I prefer the 18s, but the 14s are absolutely fine (and some prefer them). But for me, standard leather is a deal breaker. To my eye, the interior looks cheap without full leather. Just one person's opinion tho.

I *think* you may be confusing a couple of things.
- You have the Sport Seats Plus (which are more heavily bolstered but have 4-way adjustments). They are standard.
- Then you have the 14-way Sports Seats (which are less heavily bolstered with 14-way adjustment). They are an extra cost.
- On top of that, you have the 18-way Sports Seats Plus (heavy bolstered, 18-way adjustments). They cost even more.

Separately, you can decide on standard (i.e. partial) leather, or the more expensive full leather.

Last, there are the two Premium Packages - regular and "Plus". That's where things like vented seats and added lighting come in.

Yes but.... On the GTS the 14 ways require the full leather, a (I think) 3800 option. It forces you to add. The 18 ways do not and allow the cheaper alcantara delete/partial leather for like 2k. In either case I would include the premium plus so not a factor.

In other words 14 way (with required leather) is more expensive by almost $2k than the 18 way (with available partial leather).

Would you all pay more for 14 or save with 18?

Standard or partial leather is not nearly as nice as full leather. For $120 + I want it to look like $120 +
